First of all, there are no real deals in Puerto Ayora. You will overpay for what you get, just because its an expensive place. That said, this is an OK option. The location isnt bad, a block from the main street and all of the restaurants and bars. The rooms had hot water and AC. The beds were small, but... More

We stayed here twice during our trip, the rooms are very spacious, 2 double beds, air conditioning, fridge and wifi. The bathroom was clean and pleasant. The location is very good just a few minutes walk to the main street of the town.

Stayed three nights in this hotel. Great position and good sized clean rooms. Breakfast basic but very similar to other hotels on Galapagos Islands. Non english speaking owners did not go out of their way to help when I had problems, not of the hotels making. However younger english speaking guy (son?) could not have been more helpful and full... Hotel Pelican Bay has enough amenities to give you a pleasant stay close to everything. It's clean, well maintained, has wifi and is a very short walk to restaurants, souvenirs and the giant tortoises at the Darwin Center. Reading lamps next to the beds seem to be the only thing missing.

Outstanding location. You can't beat it.. just off the Main Street. clean, nice pool. Rooms could use lamps by beds versus the overhead light plus some updating. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms, very simple breakfast. The value is very good here. I would recommend highly but don't expect the Ritz!!!!!

The Pelican Bay hotel has easy access to the harbour and the main shopping street in Puerto Ayora. The reception, when someone is there, is fairly friendly but there may be issues with English being spoken if you are not a Spanish speaker. Once you have their attention the service was reasonably good and they can organise taxis to the... More

We stayed at Pelican Bay for 5 nights a few weeks ago. We had a very nice experience here. The hotel manager and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The manager set up 3 day trips for us. I had a lot of questions about what to see and do in the Galapagos and the manager was very helpful... More

I moved hotels on the first day as it was too pricey this one was about $80 a night cheaper then my first one, didn't have fancy decorations outside but had a pool and the breakfast ladies are really nice. The owner could be a bit friendlier but apart from that it's good value as you spend most on the... More

Let me start with positive; the lady that runs the restaurant is nice, does a wonderful job and the food is good. If only I could say that about the rest of this dump. Our room was small and stinks really really bad. There were bugs crawling all over the place. The shower drain was clogged but that didn't matter... More
