We spent 3 nights at Hotel Espana. The hotel is close to everything in Puerto Ayora and easy to find. Our room was very comfortably large, well lit, nice bed and bathroom. Staff were friendly and attentive, the breakfast (which is an extra $4) is simple but fine. There was limited availability of wifi and had to use other places... More

Lovely hotel, stayed here for 6 nights. Staff really friendly, room huge, fresh towels every day, aircon, free wifi (in common area only) and great location from restaurants, laundry, shops etc! Only slight negatives were that the shower temperature was either scolding or freezing & that after requesting a twin room we got one double bed & one single bed... More

This hotel was only a couple of streets from the harbour and the main street. Our room was huge with a balcony. The room was really clean & the beds were comfy. It was in easy walking distance of everything we needed. The staff were friendly & helpful. But in my opinion there are other hotels in Puerto Ayora that... More

We booked this hotel for 3 nights in July 2014. We paid $50 per room per night. The room and bathroom were clean but I do not recommend this hotel. My first impression was not good - there were too many warnings: "If you spot towels, you must pay $15", "Mattress urinated all be paid in full" My second impression... More

We booked this hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. It was very clean, with a nice sitting in the lobby in hammocks. We stayed on the 4th floor (lots of stairs), and there was construction on top starting every day at 7am, but it didn't bother us because we left the hotel early. The hotel is two... More

Really enjoyed my stay at this cheap and cheerful hotel close to the center of Puerto Ayora. Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the downstairs open lobby with the hammocks and couches is a great place to sit and relax. Room was small and basic but bathroom was adequate with hot water so no complaints from me!

We were kind of hesitant about this hotel after reading the reviews, but it was one of our better cheap hotels on a 6 month trip. Our room (and the hallways) felt renovated, and was quite spacious. Yes you do need to walk the stairs, but come on, it's only 3 floors max. The receptionist Daniel is VERY nice, speaks... More

Nice simple hotel located downtown puerto ayora. Staff is nice and prices négociable. Wifi is weak generally speaking and the breakfast really simple... The other guests were nice and quiet. The hotel is decent and clean but be ready to climb stairs :)

If you have a room numbered after 9 be prepared to walk up LOTS of stairs without any assistance with luggage. I was first given room 31. After climbing approx 10 flights if stairs the aircon in the room was so unbelievable noisy I had to ask to be moved. I was moved to room 9 which was marginally better.... More

Excellent staff, location, and price. The room was clean and the shower worked fine (always a possible iffy feature in a low cost hotel). Free breakfasts were enough to keep us going until lunch. Although we didn't take advantage of this service, I think it would be a good place to arrange tours.
