Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Great pool and breakfast area. Drinking water for your use in the lobby. About a 10 min walk from town. Not a problem or take the shuttle.Stayed 4 days 3/2015. Any problems handled easily by the owner. Air conditioning !!:)

We loved our 4 night stay at Hotel Verde Azul this October (2014). Luis, the owner, took exceptional care of anything that we asked for. The love that he shows to his guests is something you don't find often any more and was for us the most important part of the stay at his hotel. From a coffee/tea when we... More

Booked via internet direct. Easy to find when arriving by boat - ca. 10 min walk from jetty (or a 1$ cab ride)... About equidistant to town attractions/food and the Darwin Centre (15min) (or a 1$ cab ride)... Safe location - did not see anyone strange nor encounter any hustlers while walking home late. Rooms fairly spacious. Stayed in family... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in Aug'14, based on TripAdvisor reviews, and it was one of the few places taking reservations, though arriving there it seemed every hotel had plenty of empty rooms and you could walk-up anywhere and get a great deal. I had a "seaview" room, which was simple but spacious and even had a couch. A/C worked... More

We stayed three nights at Luis' Verde Azul hotel - booked through Galapagos Alternative - and had a very pleasent stay. The rooms are large, clean and quiet and the pool-side breakfast is very nice. Luis, the owner, is an ex-naturalist in the national park.

Hotel Verde Azul truly left a mark in our family's vacation experience. Located a bit off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood in Puerto Ayora (only a 7-10 min walk from the main street), this hotel was reasonably priced, had comfortable rooms with AC, and breakfast (fruits, eggs, bread, coffee). Bike rental available in the lobby, though we did... More

We should have written this a long time ago. Me, my wife and our two children stayed in this hotel for a week in July 2011(Correction: not 2013!). For our family, what makes a holiday enjoyable is the care, friendship and help from staff. Luis, the hotel owner, has all these. He is a Very polite, friendly and helpful person... More

The hotel is newer and has nice, clean large rooms. It is an easy brief walk to the main strip, Charles Darwin Avenue. Out room at the top of the hotel had a distant view of the port. A lovely breakfast was served by the pool. We had a problem arranging our cruise at the last minute and Luis was... More
