My son and I stayed here for three nights in July 2014, and we arrived without a reservation. There was only one unit available and it was for four people, however, the owner kindly offered it to us for the same price as a two-person unit. The hotel and rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated - great AC too. The... More

We, 3 ladies from New York went to Galapagos for 6 days, the staying at Casa del Lago in Santa Cruz was more than excellent. Clean-neat rooms, fresh fruit juice with home made organic breakfast every morning was a delightful experience. The owner of the place has been a very well experienced tour guide who kindly booked our daily trips,... More

While traveling with my sister, we stayed at Casa del Lago for 2 nights. Excellent experience in both the cafe and the hotel. Right next store is an amazing, peaceful lake for walking. One morning we saw a sea lion, puffer fish, and sleeping rays. The rooms were clean and architecturally interesting. Lots of smooth curves, playful light, and plants.... More

This place is a real oasis. Very warmly decorated rooms with air-con. Ours had a small kitchen with a very cold fridge, ideal for storing water & cokes. Lovely woman runs the place who has great stories which lift the curtain to reveal the human side of the Galapagos. No dinner after 7pm, but she did it for is anyway.... More

We couldn't have picked a more perfect place for our family to stay. We booked a suite where we stayed with our two teenage daughters. We could easily walk to many restaurants and shops as well as the harbor. The breakfasts were scrumptious. Our suite was charming. So delightful to stay in a place with character. And the innkeeper was... More

Casa del Lago and owner Elena could not have been more perfect for our visit to the islands. With our two adult children we wanted a place close to town and yet where we could be a family. The Ninfa Suite was ideal. From the first contact, Elena was helpful and eager to make our vacation easy and enjoyable. We... More

We already had our room booked, but we stopped by the cafe several times during our stay in Puerto Ayora. It was such a pleasure to meet Elena! Thank you so much for all of your suggestions - they made our trip even more beautiful. Whether it was yoga practice on the platforms of El Lago de las Ninfas or... More

We needed a last minute place to stay one more night in Puerto Ayora. We walked up the day before we needed to check in to make a reservation and booked a room for $90. The price included breakfast, but we had to leave at 6:45am to catch the 7am ferry to San Cristobal Island. The hotel did not accommodate... More

Unfortunately the accommodations at Casa del Lago were a little out of our budget as long term backpackers, but luckily it was a minute walk down the street from our hostel and so has become our breakfast and afternoon coffee and cake haunt. I am incredibly surprised to read the earlier review about this lovely café. The staff have been... More

We went to this restaurant for breakfast one morning on a friend's recommendation, and it was a terrible mistake. The place is cute and the food itself was decent, but our waitress was atrocious! I don't know if she had some sort of memory loss problem, or it if was her first day on the job, or maybe she didn't... More
