I visited the Casa de Laura at the end of July 2014 and stayed there for more than a week. I didn't take a boat cruise so I had time to explore this island and what it has to offer: beautiful beaches, nice scuba-diving locations, relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous sunsets, some good restaurants. At Casa de Laura for 20$ per night... More

What's really special about this hostal is the garden: it's lush and colourful, unfortunately we didn't have hammocks on our patio. The hostel is also conveniently located near the centre and the owners are friendly. Wifi does not work very well, but that's what we knew beforehand. The room itself was rather bare and not really cosy, with tiled floor,... More

When you enter the hotel you can tell immediately that someone loves (not likes, loves) to garden. The grounds are amazing, with hammocks for your leisure. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Ms. Laura is all business, but that's okay if you expect it. The 3 days I was there, there seemed to be a problem... More

For 40$, we had a spacious room with matrimonial bed, airco, and a small bathroom with warm water shower. The rooms got cleaned every day and Laura and her husband were friendly. The setting is really nice and calm. No noise from the street to disturb the sleeping. Nice plae also to meet fellow backpackers and you can fill your... More

We spent two days here with our family of 16 from age 5 to 73. What a neat small hotel. Lots of hammocks to relax in on the front porch for several to enjoy at the same time. No English here but very helpful family who runs it. It is within walking distance of several nice restaurants.

As part of a multiple-day booking we were staying at this hostal without knowing the price. The room we had was very big! There was an extra room with a table and chairs. The bathroom was small compared to the rest of the space. The A/C made such a noise (like plains flying over or something) that we did not... More

I stayed four nights in this hotel. The double-room is nice and clean, with air-condition, hot-water shower and cable TV. Breakfast is not included, but with 20 US Dollars one night (single occupancy), the price is still reasonable. The owner Laura is a very kind lady and always ready to help you. They have a beautiful garden with hammocks available,... More

My fiancé and I stayed five nights at La Casa de Laura. We enjoyed our time and will stay again! The owners, a lovely woman and her husband, were very helpful. She was always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. She provided wonderful insight and never steered us wrong! The room itself was a great value. Two separate spaces... More

We visited a dozen hotels before arriving to Casa de Laura. They were either too expensive or too sad. When we were about to quit and return to one of the sad places we arrived here. A big room with fridge, air-condition and a small TV, overlooking a landscaped garden with many trees, for 40$. Everything is super clean and... More

My stay was wonderful and the large number of hammocks in a relaxing setting made my stay that much better! Strong wifi and nice showers compared to other galapagos hotels. My room was clean with air conditioners and ceiling mounted fans. The owner Laura lives there too and was kind and available to answer any questions. No breakfast available on... More
