Clean, good AC, good breakfast (5USD), supremely helpful owner (rearranged our ferries when storms stranded us here for an extra night). Comfortable beds and great views from some of the rooms (make sure you ask for one with a view, not to be missed and a lovely breeze). At the far end of town from the port, by the entrance... More

Nice and friendly hostel. I had a perfectly clean double room for myself and payed the lowest rate you get on Isabella. It's the last house by the beach, so the closest you can get to El Faro, thus perfect if you surf. I would definitely come back, muchas gracias!

Stayed here for 3 nights in a seaview room. Clean, spacious and a wonderful view. The hostal is 5mins walk from the centre in a very quiet area, close to most of the attractions. The staff are professional and very helpful. wifi connection was very slow though!

A nice hostel with great location and view of the beach. We walked in and wad showed a room with oceanview at the bottom floor which was very nice, she also showed us a room that didnt have the same view and standard for a cheaper price. If you wish a nice breakfast can be included in the price. Sandra... More

Managed to get the upper room with view on the beach and that made for wonderful time even in the room! Very pretty room, clean, amazing breakfast with many choices and always freshly pressed juices of local fruits. Very friendly staff who organized all activities with private guides what is MUCH much better than running around like cattle in an... More

Great hostel that has some great rooms facing the beach. Sandra went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable and also help me made my tours as well as the boat back to Santa Cruz. Ridiculous that the hotel next door has $350USD rooms with the same view.

I work on Galapagos, every year I spend a few weeks to do research on these islands. I've been to all inhabited islands, stayed at various places on each. Every year I ask around for new recommendations. I'm so glad a friend of mine recommended La Jungla in Puerto Vilamil on Isabela Island. The Hostal is at the very end... More

I spent several days here with a friend in a room. The fact that it is at the end of the town, with nothing between you and the practically private beach is amazing. Can't be beat! Plus you're away from the noise. There is also a kitchen to use, which is nice if you have an early morning tour and... More

Great location with the best view around the island. The owner is a great man full of histories (if you speak espanish) and marvellous host. In front of the hotel you have the longest beach in Isabella and is practically for you. Totally recomended.

The first time I have felt let down by Trip Advisor. The La Jungla is plain old run down. Pablo seems to be in it for the money with no real interest in providing a positive experience for visitors. He is much more into his tour business. Also he is not the most dependable fellow, neglecting to take us to... More
