We stayed there for almost a week, had a doubleroom with aircon. There are kitchen for guests to use and a bar in the reception area. There is shared bathroom for all guests, 3 toilets and 3 showers. The place is a bit worn down, and could easily been a lot better with just some small efforts. Microlets (minivan buses)... More

For budget travelers, it's a good place in Dili to stay. Dorms are priced reasonably & I highly suggest staying in the big dorm. The only 3 single beds in the big dorm have thick & firm mattresses so try to get 1 of those. The showers & toilet cubicles are relatively clean, so no complaints. The atmosphere is cool... More

positive: friendly staff, nice relaxed beer garden and a bar, AC (works sometimes) in the dorms, television with heaps of movies, good showers (good water pressure), you can meet backpackers and team-up with them to travel around Timor-Leste (so you can share the expensive accommodations all over the country), good central location (500 m from Indonesian embassy!),WI-FI... negative: awful WI-FI,... East Timor is not a commonly visited place, so if your making it there its safe to assume you are a traveler that is used to being off the beaten path. It is the cheapest place i could find in all of Dili at $13usd for a dorm bed, so i was a little confused when i arrived there and... More

I stayed here for 1 week in a single room. Yes, it is "rustic" and worn, but this place definitely has got charm if you don't have too high expectations. Showers might look scruffy, but I always had great cold showers with good water pressure. Showers were always available (there were 3 of them) Showers and bathrooms were cleaned a... More

The owners were rude and bookings were poorly managed. Staff were everywhere, intimidating and always giving my group dirty looks. Showers always turned off half way, rooms were poorly kept, mattresses worn out & mozzies everywhere!!! The only upside is that its cheap and its the only backpackers around Dili.

If you're on a tight budget then Dili accommodation can break the bank but the Backpackers double rooms are a life saver. This place is cheap and basic but you will meet a whole load of interesting people here and get some good advice about onward travel. Be warned that hotels get booked up quickly so book as far in... This is a perfectly comfortable hostel, but nothing special. The major downside is the mosquitoes outside at night, which are terrible, but kept at bay if you have good spray. The staff are dry nice but there's not a lot of English spoken, expect for the owner and his wife. They're extremely helpful and know Dili very well so can... More

This Hostel is okay. Dili doesn't have much to offer AT ALL and yet my travel partner and I were stuck here for 6 days trying to figure out where to go in the country.. Because its so small and underdeveloped you need to be there at the right time and day to book boats and transportation to surrounding areas..... More

Price/value: East Timor is expensive. This is as cheap as you will find. It's basically the only alternative for lower budget travellers in Dili. We stayed in double room for 25 USD per night and in dorm rooms for 12 USD per person (which means basically the same price if you are 2 persons) Location: Very central. 5 min walk... More
