Katua's is a rather non- descript older building from the outside, but once inside, it and those that work there, provide you with a welcome that both comfortable and enjoyable. The restaurant had good food and drinks , along with attentive service. A real bonus too , was the room rate includes laundry , on a one-day service.

I stayed with my family in Katua's Hotel for a week while diving in Dili and visiting some friends. The hotel was recommended by some frequent travelers to Dili. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff cleaning the rooms did a super job each day when we returned the rooms were spotless. The hotel location is right in the... More

Five nights here and I have no complaints. Clean and tidy rooms with just a few minor plumbing problems but location and cheery staff more than compensate for any 'not right' findings.Easy walk to the harbor shore, Resistance Museum, Gusmao Library and local restaurants, these offer you choices that are many and varied. When staying at the Katua I suggest... More

When you look for hotels in Dili, do not expect much. We stayed in room 212 which was on the second floor. There is no lift but a big frig, tv with cable channels and a separate sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. It faced the street and the windows are wood, painted shut with a permanent gap in the window... More

Booked this hotel online, paid about $70 night for a suite, which while basic was quite comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was included and free wifi which worked very well in restaurant and generally ok in room. Medium fridge, with tea and coffee making facilities. No toiletries or extras provided so bring your own. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is... More

I was pleased with my stay at Katua's, the room was clean and the aircon and TV worked well, the bathroom was old but worked, so that's why I only gave 4/5. Laundry was included in the room rate, which was really nice. Wifi in the restaurant worked well, but not so well in the room on the 3rd floor.... More

No one expects to be pampered in Timor-Leste but a clean environment is a basic human right; Katua’s fails to provide exactly that. Although we booked the priciest room on offer, a suite for three people, we are shocked to find an Indonesian-era cell with an outrageously dirty floor: dust everywhere. Walking barefoot will turn your feet black like beaches... More

I stayed here for 3 months while on assignment. The location is very convenient to supermarket and local eateries in definitely a nicer part of town unfortunately the ANZ opposite closed while I was there so you have to go further to get money out. The food was very average definitely better to be found nearby including discovery next door... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in a suite. Cost was $75 per night. The rooms are fine - quite clean, bathroom ok for East Timor. The breakfast was the same each day - fruit, bread, scrambled eggs and sausage - it's fine but gets very samey after a while. There is free wifi that we could pick up in... More
