Star ratings of hotels are difficult to evaluate and although Hotel Agava is listed as 4 star, in my opinion is 3 star. Yes - the room was spacious if rather sparsely furnished but no wifi in the bedrooms and those thin little bars of soap are a bit mean. It is definitely an hotel for large tour groups and... More

We stayed on a HB basis and I cannot fault the food at all. Breakfast and evening meals were a buffet selection and there was plenty of choice and more than enough food. Our room had a balcony and a sea view and as we were near reception we had wifi in our room. I recommend room 92 for this... More

Hotel Agava is a great place to spend a few nights I While in Opatija, Croatia. Location is good, room very comfortable and view from balcony was fantastic. We stayed in room 272, unfortunately the AC was not working. Weather was comfortable so we managed fine with minimal AC. Complimentary breakfast was delicious with good variety to please any taste.... More

We decided to book hotel Agava based on previous experiences in Opatija and its reputation for being the jewel of Kvarner riviera with old Austrian charm. The hotel met our expectations. The room was spacious, with high ceiling, period furniture and modern bathroom. It didn't have a balcony (only few rooms in the hotel have one), but it was a... More

We arrived at hotel very stressed from driving long hours with bad parking experiences. The manager saw our distress and parked our car himself to save us grief, can never thank him enough. This fairly represents the service received throughout our stay, loved them. Room huge with sea view and great also.

We stayed here for two nights in May and had a great time. The hotelbuilding is beautiful, the room we had very large, classic and comfortable with a balcony and view on the Kvarner gulf. We had problems parking our car and the manager of the hotel offerde to do it for us. Every time we needed the car he... More

This hotel is in an elegant building with quiet dignity matching the "fin de siecle", belle epoque, gentility to much of Opatija . We had a very large and comfortable room with a view out to the Kvarner Gulf but unfortunately lacking a balcony. Free wifi is available but only in the reception area and adjacent small lounge We were... More

We only stayed in this hotel as we managed to find a good rate via booking.com that was about 30% below the rate the hotel offered us. For the money the hotel is quite average and the breakfast had no taste. It is very well located though and the building is absolutely gorgeous. The girls at reception are also very... More

The Hotel Agava is a beautiful hotel, with great attention to detail. The reception area is warm and inviting, and is tastefully decorated. Hotel umbrellas were very handy when trying to deal with a sudden downpour of heavy rain and hailstones! We visited in May, and spent two nights at the hotel. The staff members were polite, friendly and efficient.... More

Beautiful and romantic hotel, with VERY CLEAN and big room. Cleaning lady really do her job...staff is GREAT, the BEST SERVICE in area...location is great, close to everything...the only minus is that they charge 25 kunas for room service...and expensive garage (90 kunas per day) :-(
