First, the good: Blue Bay Inn is a lovely boutique hotel, the rooms are beautifully decorated and have a luxurious, upscale atmosphere. It's in a great location, if you like to stroll around a downtown. The employees (manager Bob and two front desk women) are friendly and certainly give an air of helpfulness. I would definitely recommend this hotel for... More

I started coming to the Blue Bay Inn at the end of April. The original booking was for one night which turned into eight. I came back again and again and when here, I'd often extend the original bookings. Eventually I moved in for the entire summer and continue to live here until the end of September. I can't say... I stayed at the Blue Bay Inn for a night in August. It's a lovely hotel. My room on the second floor was spacious and well-appointed. The bathroom was large compared to what you'd find in a standard room at a Marriott or Westin. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. What really made my trip... More

I noticed some complaints about the breakfast. I've never had it or stayed at the hotel personally, as I live around the corner. But I have seen the rooms when friends stayed. They are very nice, high end. My wife and I used the hotel for out of town guests for our wedding back in 2006 and everyone was more... More

We went again to the blue Bay Inn for the film festival July 18th and we were luck enough to book early and get rooms for the weekend. This time we went with friends. I just cannot say enough about the place and the staff. The town seems to have something going on all the time. When we arrived on... More

The Jersey shore has always been a favorite getaway for my wife and I and this summer was no exception. The difference is we stayed at the Blue Bay Inn in Atlantic Highlands this years and not LBI. We saved over 3 hours in drive time and arrived at the most gorgeous spot you can imagine. We had an amazing... More

Went to Sandy Hook for a 4 day anniversary weekend. Had some doubts about the hotel based on some reviews. I don't spend a lot of time hanging out at hotels becuase I'm not usually there for the hotel. I look for a clean, comfortable place that I'll get some sleep without having to call 911, clean showers and helpful... More

This past Memorial Day weekend I set my sights with my wife on going away locally(to save money honestly) and found the Blue Bay Inn online. My experience was delightful. I was reading in the paper about the new Bay shore trail in Atlantic Highlands. I wanted to first write about the Blue Bay Inn and the delightful hotel it... More

We stayed at the Blue Bay Inn due to evacuating our home. We tested hotels & motels around the area. Only the Blue Bay Inn seemed more like home, in terms of friendliness, hospitality, cleanliness, elegance, pleasantness... We arrived Oct 30'08, we're still present Jan 4'09, and we are glad to have made that choice. The Blue Bay Inn was... More

If you want to stay in an extremely small Deluxe Room for $234/night , including tax, with a 2 day minimum stay (on weekends), post season, with no on-site parking than this is the place for you. From the time you pull in and find out that you have to park a block & a half away (in a municipal... More
