Be aware of the Annex side of the hotel. They're more like sleazy motel rooms. With a balcony, with two plastic chairs outside. The room itself cracked and peeling paint, holes in the wall. Water damage on the ceiling. Let's not talk about the bathroom. Also let me add that once you past the hallway to go to the annex... More

This hotel is gross! I understand that it is old, but that it not an excuse. The bathroom vent was practically black with filth and shower was dirty. I asked to upgrade my room to the regular Chelsea and "Matt" at the front desk told they had no available rooms for either night I was staying. I find this funny... More

we got to the chelsea around noon to see if wed be able to check in early they said they had nothing available and to stop back around 2, (check in was at 4) so we figured wed hit the beach first then we arrived back around 330 to a crazy long line. everything went fine at check in. when... More

My first impression of the Chelsea was positive as Alex the valet, unloaded our car quickly and effictiently and got our trip off to a positive start in to the trendy and chic lobby. Then we proceeded to our room in the "Annex" side of the hotel. The furniture was beat up and the bathroom had rust in random places.... More

Found the bathroom to be the filthiest seen in a while (leftover hair etc). A maid cut me in the line for a lift and would not help me get into my room. Check in at 4pm - check out at 11am - what? Possibly the most expensive and dirtiest piece of hotel real estate in the US. Swimming pool... More

I stayed at Annex and rooms are clean but small, bathroom very small, outdated floors had different colors (some parts were worn out). The lines for the front desk were little long and to get the car from valet took some time too, plus the valet parking $15/day is a little expensive and they don't have self parking. I will... More

The Chelsea is a nice place, but the Annex is another story! It's eerie and feels like the unwanted stepchild. It was creepy and dirty. The bathroom was outdated and nasty, the lights in the hallways were dimly lit (I think they were just dirty!) and the light fixtures in the stairwells were all burnt out. The ice machine didn't... Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice valet man who directed us to the check in desk. We then waited about 20min at the check in desk to be helped by another helpful employee who gave us our keys and told us how to get to our room. After a long walk down a hall way, through a... More

After reading the reviews of the Chelsea Annex, I was concerned about staying there, but decided to go for it after finding an amazing deal for my birthday weekend (seriously, it was about $150-200/night cheaper than most other options, and on par with the Super 8 and its ilk). However, when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised about the condition... More

We got a room for a girls' night out and were terribly disappointed. For the price, we did not expect to have to walk through the diner, carting our luggage, dragging everything into a creeky old elevator to end up in a room that looks like it hasn't been updated (or cleaned) since the 1960's! I would highly recommend that... More
