Stayed here 8/17/14 - 8/24/14 and realized that there are pros and cons to this lodge. first the pros, "you get what you pay for' free wi-fi, free hbo, continental breafast (they just say breakfast!) and a comfortable bed. Cons: No sausage and eggs(I'm am gone after that), the room is circa 1980 including TV; actually saw the maids throwing... More

To start I paid $20 for a roll a bed on line when booking the room that the front desk didn't want to give me unless I gave an additional $15. I don't know where they got the pictures they show here because is not even close to the truth. The rooms are horrible the musky smell, the furniture falling... More

The reception staff was welcoming, friendly and accomodating - BIG PLUS. We needed a place to stay out of the sun for a few hours on a spur of the moment trip to AC. Since I had a puppy with me, it was a challenge to find a pet-friendly room at the last minute. From first sight of the neighboring... More

Impromtu trip to AC for the Kanye West concert @2/22/14. Had trouble booking room, so we need a place fast and local. We made the mistake of calling this place, smh. They tell us they have availability. We drive over, enter the lobby to find an employee sitting in the lounge chair across from the front desk. No greeting from... More

We were looking for an inexpensive hotel closer to the main part of AC for a short overnight stay. Well, I have to say that even for the price, this place was not worth it. It was a total dump! The only up side was the location, just a few moments from the casinos. We recently stayed at the Comfort... More

I reserved five rooms for friends who were attending my retirement party in Atlantic City. The cost of the room was $119 so I figured that it was sufficient for my friends. What a disaster! The rooms were dirty and smelled. Totally not acceptable. All of my guests checked out either before or after my party. We ended up squeezing... More

It was my first trip to stay in New Jersey. I was very excited, and thought I could relax and enjoy myself in Howard Johnson, after I finished the site visit for my real estate business. But, ... Cons:- (1) It was too far for me: According to the online AD through the online reservation company, I thought it was... More

I can honestly say that I've never been in a more horrible and dreadful place, than the Howard Johnson in Atlantic City. I am appalled at the condition and state of the hotel. The pictures shown on the site are a lie. Here are a few of the things we noticed when we go to our room: The rooms are... More

We stayed here, because my boyfriend prefers to stay cheap and believe me--- this is a cheap motel - not hotel. Nothing about this place is up to date, the tv is old, the bed was old, the bathroom was shappy as hell!!! If you are a cheap person you can stomach it, but I prefer to feel comfortable where...
