What a wonderful place! The boat ride on the river to get there is beautiful. The employees are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The arqueological sites are very well maintained as well as the paths to get there. The museum has some beautiiful pieces. The gardens are wonderful with a whole rainbow of colors. The food, delicious (try arroz con coco... More

Loved it. Best plan if you want to scape the cities and experience nature purity. Beautiful beaches and transparent rivers. Very clean and excellent food. Me encantó que el lugar es súper tranquilo y apartado de la civilizción.

Taironaka is a terrestrial paradise. "Terrestrial" means that Taironaka remains attached to natural and social conditions that are fragile and perfectible, "paradise" means that it is an incredibly beautiful and bountiful place that has little in common with our normal life-world. Staying at Taironaka is an experiment. You try to balance the satisfactory provision of basic goods necessary for decent... More

With a party of 33 (Colombians and Swiss aged 2-58), we went to this amazingly well kept natural sanctuary and absolutely adored it. Perfect place to celebrate life and turn 50. It is superbly well managed, staff very friendly, delicious food, great programs, including going down the Don Diego river into to the Caribbean ocean on inflatable tires. Plus, the... More

A Colombian friend from Santa Marta recommended to stay here and helped book it, together with a side trip floating down the Don Diego river to the sea in a rubber ring. It was a beautiful place with lovely grounds and a nice walk into the forest at the back to see the archeological remains. The best part was the... More

We loved it here. We had such nice rooms. Like a whole house for our family. The 1e day we were shown around and learned about the "indigenas". The next day I was sick and my family went on the river trip. The staff was so nice. I didn't ask for anything, but they brought me soup and drinks. Thanks!!!

We stayed for 2 nights while on a tour through Colombia. The concept of this ecological lodge is good but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times even though none understood English. To get there you have to go on a small boat up a shallow river and jump... More
