To make a long story short: - Filthy: the room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived: the bathroom was filthy (dry urine all over the toilet seat, faeces inside the toilet bowl), dirty sink, filthy shower; sheets hadn't been changed: full of hair and food crumbs. - Day receptionist and cleaner did not care about the state of the room,... The hotel was very clean and confortable. Good price and very nice staff. The breakfast was fine. The hotel is in a good neighborhood close to downtown, . They dont have minibar inside the room but theres a fridge with all kind of beverages in the first floor.

During our trip to Santa Marta we stayed affordable and nice hotel. Upon our arrival the girl at the front desk asked us if it was our first time in Santa Marta, right away she gave us a tourist map and explain us how to get to every single interesting site in the area. She was very helpful as I... More

Hotel San Miguel Imperial was very convenient for us while visiting Santa Marta. It is situated within walking distance to downtown, and close to supermercado, where we took a bus to Palomino. While the rooms are sparse... they are clean and comfortable...and also has terrific air conditioned rooms. We had a room with a double and a twin, which was... More

Keeping in mind the price range (we paid $30/night per person), this is a decent enough hotel. The hotel is decorated adequately enough with nice large beds, air conditioning, 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi and breakfast included. The downsides of the hotel are that the Wi-Fi range is very limited (we could barely access it in our room), tiny bathrooms (you... More

We only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay here - the room was well appointed, very clean and very comfortable bed. There was a TV, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, nice bedding, good air con with temperature control, and nice tiled floor. The bathroom was compact but nice with good shower (cold as always on the coast). The location is... More

We stayed at this hotel for Christmas, the room was 38 English pounds a night. We feel mixed about this hotel. The hotel is lovely, the room is really nice and the amenities are fine (we didnt sample breakfast). The location is ok, its a bit of a walk to the beach but its near enough to all the good... More

My wife and I, and a mutual friend, stayed at this property during December 2012. We booked through booking.com and got a rate of COP$ 150,000 per night. We ended up here due to a "navigation error" on my part. After one night, we move out of centro, and to another tourist-oriented hotel on the malecon of El Rodadero. During... More

I have spent three nights at San Miguel Imperial hotel and it was better than I expected. To begin with, it's affordable, which is a plus in a touristic city. Secondly, the premises look new and well-kept, good shower and air-conditioner, clean room and basic but decent breakfast. Added to all this, the kindness of the reception staff, giving tips... More
