My wife is from Santa Marta and we visit there every year around Xmas. We didn't plan too much in advance this year, and couldn't get into one of the resort-style hotels around SantaMarta. Hotel be La Sierra looked to be centrally located so we decided to give it a try. As it turned out, we had a really nice... More

We like the place, good rooms good food, we had the spected noise from outside but it was OK, after 12 police take all people from the beach, the surrounding area have a lot of street food and some merchandize, but as soon you hit the main door you have people offering tours and trips.

Title says it all, during my stay 100 dollars was stolen from my room. I keep 200 dollars back up money, in a random book packed away in my bag. I had checked it on arrival. On checking out I noticed there was only 100 left. Got absolutely no help from reception when I reported it, more a 'hey what... More

Us along with our guests all just stayed here during our wedding in Santa Marta. It was perfect! Right on the beach, not too noisy at night, and wonderful helpful staff. The breakfast buffet in the mooring was great as well, with several typical Colombian dish options. Wifi worked in our room on the 9th floor and there was hot... More

Upon arrival, the appearance of the hotel was disappointing, even though I was not expecting much after reading the reviews and after seeing the pictures on tripadvisor. Below is a list of problems encountered during my unpleasant stay. 1. Decor It's very dated and in desperate need of an upgrade. Curtains look old and there are moldy shower curtains. The... More

Rooms are old and in need of some modernization. No phone lines available to make long distance calls, the bathroom is big enough for half a person. The only good thing is the view. You need to wear a wrist band during your stay in order to come in. To resume, not worth the price .

Like most travelers, I used the city of Santa Marta as a starting point for visiting Tayrona National Park. Since most day tours to the park start between 7:30 and 9, I wanted to get a good night's sleep prior to each day's excursion. That didn't happen. While the hotel is located on a prime spot in front of the... More

This hotel is very nice, offers amazing view from the rooms, staff is very friendly, very good breakfast. It is well located, just a few meters from the beach. Its a shame they have only one elevator and sometimes takes a little while! In general good choice in santa marta!

Nice view of the ocean and terrific sunsets. The rooms recently renovated are standard but very clean. Location Rodadero is between Santamarta and the airport The beach is nice but very crowded in week ends.

The most amazing part of the hotel is the views from the balcony! They are simply breath taking in the evening as the sun sets. Our room was standard, with colorful decorations. The tour services the concierge offered were incredible and easy to use. We signed up for a day trip to Playa Tayrona, which I highly recommend! Our package... More
