We absolutely loved our stay at Yuluka. I stayed here with 5 of my friends in one of their 6-berth cabins. The beds were all comfortable and our cabin was located right next to the lovely pool which was great. All of the staff were so friendly, the owner Carlos was always keen to help us to plan day trips... More

We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of April, originally we only planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying 4 we loved it so much! We were a group of 6 and practically had the place to ourselves. The food was delicious, lovely Esta cooked amazing and simple fish and great traditional food every night and... More

We just checked out of the Yuluka yesterday, after a three night stay. The online photos of this property were impressive, creating a real "jungle" appearance. That said, the photos dont do it justice: it's much more impressive in real life! The owners have done a great job in creating a truly unique property- the cabins, pool, and restaurant area... More

A relaxing, friendly place; there were times when it hardly seemed necessary to get up and leave the hostal's grounds. The swimming pool is a great place for chilling out and the wildlife is impressive (a foot-long green iguana, a leaf insect that took a liking to the hand of one of the staff, lots of humming birds, a red... We chose this ecohostal for it's location and the cool "eco" look. We hiked through Tayrona and walked to the hostal (20 minutes from the park entrance). Yuluka is charming. Everything is decorated in bungalow style. There is a pool, kitchen, restaurant (good food), laundry, chill room and a variety of shared and private cabins. Breakfast was included and consisted... After traveling along the Colombian coast for three weeks we couldn't imagine spending our last nights in Cartagena. Unable to change our flights to Santa Marta (one hour from the property), we were willing to get up at 4am, taxi to Santa Marta and then hop on a Berlinas direct van to Cartagena (4 hours) for our 12:00 flight. We... More

Based on amenities alone, Yuluka would be a fun place to stay - it has a jungle bungalow vibe that's fun and in-keeping with the surroundings - thatched roof, cabin-style rooms, palm trees, hammocks, and a pool with a mini water slide. A damper was put on our stay though by the seemingly poor attitude of a few of the... More

This was my favorite lodging experience on our Colombia trip. This hostel is located in a beautiful location in the middle of nature. The cabins were clean and roomy. All cabins have mountain view. The owner and his family live on property and always there to help. They have a restaurant on site, which is also run by the family.... More

When we first checked in I was very impressed with the big room, lovely views from the balcony and beautiful outdoor bathroom, although the road is close and you do hear the traffic. On day 3 I had an unpleasant surprise when going to the bathroom: there was a huge rat in the sink! I went to speak to the... More

It was a nice experience to stay in the cabins of Ecohostal Yuluka. Location is good, only 5 mins from main entrance to Tayrona National Park. It is not fancy but you are well received by the owners. Some comments: try to get cabins higher up as the lower ones are close to the road and at night the traffic... More
