This was the most wonderful Caribbean trip we have been on so far. My boyfriend and I are relatively well-traveled, having been to many places in Europe, US, CA, Mexico, and Caribbean. We also have experiences many different styles of accomodations from hostels to all-inclusive 5 star hotels. Regardless of whatever rating is given to the Isleno, it is a... more

Everything (good) other reviewers have said is absolutely true. Of the 6 Decameron resorts, I think this one's got the best "bones." The buildings are simple and have been given an appealing, multi-color paint job. Public spaces are un-fussy but comfortable. Food is amazingly good. The second-floor restaurant was outstanding and the beach views were great. Grounds are nice and... more

My husband stayed at the Isleno from Feb. 22-March 8. We flew Air Transat Club Class and felt this was worth every penny. We arrived in the evening and were through customs quickly. We were taken to our hotel which is just a few minutes away by cab with another couple. There was a cold drink waiting for us at... more

We arrived on this beautiful island only to find out that we would not be going to the hotel that we paid the upgrade for which was the Isleno. The lady said there was a "problem" with the room. I found out later that they were overbooked. Sometimes things are better left alone, which is exactly what we did and... more

We stayed at the Isleno March 15-22 and it was amazing. Our hotel is the only one with a beach. It is clean and the rooms face the beach. Our hotel is walking distance to downtown. I highly recommend doing the Johnny Cay tour, so worth the money and you get a great lunch. The water is AMAZING, I've never... more

We spent a week in early April at the San Andres Island Decameron Isleno hotel which was like being in paradise. The view from our balcony was fantastic looking out over a white sandy beach to the ocean, Johnny Cay Island and the coral reef which is famous for snorkelling. Our room was basic but very nice and clean, the... more

The Isleno had ocean view from every room. Only two rooms with one king size bed though. The rest had two double or twin beds. The staff at all the Decameron hotels were very helpfull and friendly. English was occasionally a problem. The precence of the Columbian military was a little unnerving but a cab driver that gave us a... more

There is a little island in the Caribbean that is hard to be kept a secret. San Andres Island. Our first visit in January of 2004 to the decameron Isleno started a romance that would continue. I spent two weeks in January with a friend and fell in love with the island, the people and the hotel. So much so,... more

We stayed at the Isleno March 2004, and it was one of the greatest vacations we ever had. It is a small little resort, every room has an ocean view, food was great. Staff at the Isleno are very friendly, courteous. Cleaniness was top priority here. The people of this small island make this vacation, a place you want to... more
