I recently returned from San Andres Island, where I stayed at the Decameron Aquarium. Out of all the Decameron resorts, I would highly suggest the Aquarium. My husband and I arrived and the staff welcomed us warmly. I had called a week before and requested a room in the new tower. Tower #16. Room was clean, nicely decorated, pillows a litlle deflated, TV worked, closet space nice, room view excellent for making out and hanging out overlooking ocean and no one to see you. I read these reveiw and expected the worst! Everyone is complaining about such small things, as long as you keep in mind, that a 4 star in Colombia may not be a 4 star in The United States then you'll be fine! I'll try to be brief but thorough in all that you should know about the DeCameron resorts on San Andres from my perspective. Hotels: Aquarium - we stayed here and it is definitely the largest with the most variety of a la carte restaurants (4). We were on San Andres Island from Nov. 13-20, 2009 at the Aquarium resort. Please don,t go if you are expecting fancy rooms. The rooms are functional with fantastic views of the carribean sea, besides anyone that stays locked up while on vacation should re-evaluate ones self! My fiancé and I (24 & 23) stayed at the Decameron- Aquarium from November 20- 28, 2008, booked through Nolitours on redtag for $750 pp taxes in.
