More

We are a Spanish couple who recently moved to NYC and just got back from a great weekend in Asbury Park. We've fallen in love with this Town! All we can say is that so many people (reviews) can't be wrong - the whole experience from the time you walk through Mikell's door is simply a special one. Asbury Park... More

We are not B&B people as a rule--but this is no ordinary B&B, just as Asbury Park is no ordinary Jersey Shore town. Mikell is a wonderful host and a fantastic cook, and we really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, funky old gem of a house. We will definitely be back!

Beautifully redone 1890s house. No dollies. Lots of great art & furniture. 3 Blocks from beach, boardwalk & Stone Pony. 5 blocks from downtown. Funky, eclectic & welcoming - great breakfasts and Asbury Park stories. Would definitely stay again!

A group of friends rented the carriage house behind the B&B, it was a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Mikell called me the week before to just check in, it was going to be a busy weekend in Asbury because of a music festival and she warned me that streets may get closed but she would get me to her house if... 2nd time visiting The Big House. as before, Mikell was a gracious hostess. Her style is mid-century chill. Sleep well, enjoy a great breakfast and hit the beach. The Korean taco place on the BoardWalk was new and tasty. Shop Cookman Avenue. The Big House is an easy walk from the NJ Transit train and bus station (Mikell did offer... More

We booked Mikell's for a bridal shower for my daughter because we knew we didn't want doilies, but wanted something fresh and classic that would appeal to a multi-generational guest list. Mikell gave us full use of the first floor and provided a beautiful lunch. We used the bride's grandmother's mid-century punch bowl and it fit in perfectly with Mikell's... More

I am a bit late in posting this review, but in fairness, we have been following the "Boss" around the East and our stay at Mikell's was our kick-off point. My wife and I came down for a weekend in March (St. Patrick's Day weekend), and had a FANTASTIC time here. Mikell is a wonderful, colorful hostess who we spent... More

My girlfriend and I were in town for the ATP Festival. Mikell's house was filled with wonderful, like minded people. Mikell was an incredible host and an even better chef. The breakfasts were a delight. I seriously didn't think about food until dinner. Mikell's locatation is perfect. You can see the ocean & the boardwalk from her porch. Asbury Lanes... More
