We three women travelers decided to treat ourselves after staying in a few hostels. This is a luxurious hotel with good service and OK food. The pool was lovely. It is relatively expensive for Colombia but it is a very quiet, peaceful place to stay. We stayed in the “Isabella” room and it is one of the nicest in the... More

This is a lovely hotel, in beautiful gardens. Sure it's a little old fashioned, but that is its charm. Our room, Manuela, was fine and airy. The restaurant and bar area are great, food good ,varied and not too expensive. Yes, there is some aircraft noise..but not too intrusive.

We stayed at this hacienda for two nights on a recent OAT tour. Our room (#202) was a generous size but exceptionally dark and noisy. The one window faced the upper balcony but, since there were no screens, we could not open it, especially at night, to cool the room off as there are mosquitoes in the area. The room... More

This is a beautiful place! Rooms are decorated in old style of the mansion. The only disadvantage are the overflying planes every 30 minutes or so. Restaurant serves good food and the pool is very nice. There is a good breakfast and the garden is lovely.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. It feels like traveling in time. SO perfect to relax and just be seating next to the pool enjoying the nature, having an amazing Bandeja paisa. Get into the spa or have a jog around the land with its beautiful green grass. Staff is great and friendly, they don't speak perfect English but manage to... More

A beautiful place. Pity that the service is so bad. Freddy at the front desk was the only light of professionalism - beyond that we had such terrible service from the rest of the staff and restaurant that we would never return. Upon arrival, we saw how gorgeous it was and regretted that we had only 2 nights. Since we... More

The hacienda is gorgeous with amazing landscaping. The furniture and amenities are appropriate to the hacienda, which may mean having to forego fancy showers and the like. The staff is amazing and super helpful, and I adored the resident Labrador retriever. Our room was quite dark, however. Perhaps a different room would be better, even though we did opt for... More

Quite close to the airport so yes you do get planes at times but Pereira is not Heathrow so they are few. We arrived late after the restaurant had shut but they happily made some delicious sandwiches for us. Sure the floors are old wood and creak but we found no problem with noise from others, possibly depends which room... More

Nestled in a secluded area outside Pereira, minutes from the airport, Hacienda San Jose offers guest comfort, rest and beauty. The interior decor as well as the outdoor landscaping is exquisite. Our expansive bedroom with attached balcony had tall bathroom windows that opened out to the garden below allowing for a feeling grandeur. The food, served in the outdoors next... More

We visited this historic hacienda in March 2014, and stayed for a couple of nights. We liked the decoration of our large room, with lots of attention to detail. Rooms were not soundproof however, we could clearly hear our neighbors and a couple of airplanes (first one at 5:30 am). The premises are home to lots of colorful birds, such... More
