My wife and I have just returned from a trip to Colombia and we can highly recommend the La34 Hostal. It is a well maintained boutique hotel in a charming, leafy, but happening neighborhood of Medellin. Thirty yards from the hotel is a running creek -- river - surrounded by bamboo forest.! I had a wonderful experience with this hotel. I had 20 guests for my wedding that stayed at La Hostal 34. I was a bit nervous to have my guests stay at a hostal but i was extremely suprised because the place is very clean and well taken care of. The rooms are all a great size and have several... more

I stayed at La 34 Hostal in the neighborhood of El Poblado (Medellin, Colombia) in early February 2007 with my husband and two other couples. We traveled to Medellin for vacation and a local contact arranged the hotel for us. The hotel is relatively new and the staff seemed a little inexperienced but they were extremely eager to please us.... more
