We stayed here for one night, when we arrived cold wet and tired from a late flight to Medellin. Although it was initially quite difficult to find, we were greeted warmly by Mariano, Anna and the lovely lady who worked there. We were made to feel right at home, and pointed in direction of a local restaurant. We had a... More

I love finding hidden little places when traipsing through big cities. However, Secret Buddha simply isn't worth the distance. The place is poorly managed and the rooms are tacky. The owner believes that the tacky room themes (including, but not limited to, awkwardly placed stuffed animals), are a bonus and something that sets the place apart. The truth is, it... More

My stay at Secret Buddha was exceptional. After a long bus ride from Bogota all I wanted to do was rest. When I arrived late night I was greeted by Ceci, the wonderful lady that works there, she showed my bed, gave me a towel and was left to rest. This is the most warming welcome I have received at... Super friendly owner with a wealth of knowledge. Chic, cool place to stay with very regular passing buses to the Metro Station. Then the city is your oyster. The hostel. WOW. I could have stayed here a week. Hang out, read, whatever. Has great WiFi as well. I loved it.

Had a great stay at the Budha. Expect excellent service, a peaceful environment, and immaculate rooms. The owner is a great guy and is very helpful, and he even gave me a ride all the way to center. Don't expect a party as this hostel is strictly for relation. I can't recommend this place enough! I hope you enjoy your... More

We were very excited about staying in this hostel. Both of us are hardy travelers who have traveled both together and separately and without accompaniment to such places as central Asia, Nicaragua, and the Tibetan regions in W. Sichuan, etc. While this was certainly not the dirtiest place either of us have ever stayed, it was up there. Considering the... More

Although the Secret Hostel is not in the centre, that should definitely not be a reason why you choose not to stay in such a wonderful hostel. With a perfectly simple Metro line and friendly locals getting around is easy. The hostel is quiet and a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day on the busy streets. The... More

Really nice hostel, on the outskirt of Medellin, away from city hectics, setting and views are great, not even mentioning the food. The room was a bit small for what you pay and it´s also a bit noisy. However, it is a beautiful place, the owners and staff were very helpful and we even went parapente with them - really... More

It is like 20 minutes away from the subway, except for that it is one wise choice. The staff is always ready for anything you can need.

stayed in poblado but after two sleepless nights I moved to Secret Buddha, yes its a bit outside the city centre (40 mins by metro then bus) but its worth the extra effort. this is like a boutique hotel with designer furniture, plasma tv, stunning outdoor lounging area beside the frog ponds, hammocks to chill and staff cook amazing breakfasts...
