Fantastic location, in the walled city. We had room 12 which had its own spiral stair case leading up to it. The room was really big with a comfy bed. The room and bathroom were clean. The shower was hot and powerful. The service was friendly. Great value. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights before heading to Santa Marta and then back again the night before our flight. The staff are friendly, particularly Mike who is on during the morning. They organised our transport to Santa Marta without any hassle, and let us book the final night and stay in the same room (though sitting in the room... More

This hotel is located right next to one of the top 3 hotels in cartagena giving you an idea of the quality of the location. The service was friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. I can't wait to go back

This hotel is charming. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Best breakfast I've had in Colombia. Air conditioning thay actually works. Quiet yet in the hub of things. You can walk everywhere you need to from here.

Simple rooms, with air conditioning, clean and friendly. Nice breakfast in Caribbean style. Good wifi included in the price. Very close to the Sofitel and the entrance to the fortified city. Overall a good choice, for a good price and no bad experiences.

Arriving in Cartagena after sailing from Panama, we wanted a little bit of lux while we regained our land legs. The trip proved more stressful than anticipated (you can read about our high seas hijinks at pasturebraised.com/san_blas_panama/), and Hotel Puertas de Cartagena definitely helped bring us back from the bring with some much needed calm. Colorful on the outside, Hotel... More

Settled on this hotel after being genuinely shocked at how expensive hotels in the old part of Cartagena are - after traveling though Colombia for 2 weeks almost half of our accommodation costs went on three nights at this hotel! This was a cheaper option though and really the only option we had to stay in this part of town... More

We thought that this hotel was OK......It does have a good location in the old town...everything was alright but just got the feeling they were going through the motions of running boutique hotel. It was reasonably clean, air conditioned, breakfast was good and quiet. The staff were reserved although helpful but didn't go out of their way to tell us... More

This hotel is located in the old town, so we could walk to everything. The room was okay. We had requested an extra bed which sat right next to the matted window. The light from the courtyard shone through the curtain making it a little difficult to sleep. There is AC here, which is important. The shower water was hot.... More

I booked after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. This is a small hotel. The pictures and description are very close to the real thing. It is built around a small court where you have breakfast in the morning. It provides a traditional, affordable stay but do not expect anything exceptional. Basic bed and bathroom in an a/c room, small... More
