I live in the Fl and my byfriend lives in Colombia (Barranquilla) recently I went to visit him and we wanted to get a away from Barranquilla and go to Cartagena for a weekend getaway. I seen Casa la Fe on the Orbtiz website, but didn't make any reservations. That being said the hotel was alway in my mind. ANd... more

We just returned from a fantastic trip to Cartagena, and we really loved our stay at Casa la Fe. The room was huge and well appointed, very comfortable and luxurious. The breakfast options were delicious, and we loved starting our afternoon siesta with a quick dip in the charming pool. You can go have drinks at the Sofitel, but stay... more

My husband and our two teenage boys stayed at Casa La Fe this past April (2008). We had the most fantastic experience. Our suite was lovely and we were within walking distance to everything in the old city. The hotel's owner Geoff and his staff were so hospitable and attentive to our needs we could not have asked for anything... more

Just had a weeklong stay at Casa La Fe. Very nice little place. Had everything you want... Breakfast was good. Internet was very fast and available most hours. The A/C was so strong we had to turn it off in the middle of the night so we didnt freeze our butts off. The 3% gratuity didnt really bother me. The... more

We stayed 4 days at the hotel in Cartagena, and then went to the beach villa about 45 mins drive from town. We are from Canada and found it very hot in town, but the pool was a lovely place to cool off in the late afternoons/evenings with a bottle of wine and good company. The owners and their staff... more

We struggled a bit deciding where to stay when booking this holiday - this was the middle hotel in our 10 day trip. After being in Bogota, the temperature change was a bit of a hit, but we did have A/C which made a big difference getting acclimated. We arrived in the early evening and got settled pretty quickly. We... more

I recently spent three nights at Casa La Fe. I can but agree with all the positive comments made by previous reviewers. Excellent location, wonderful staff, very nice breakfast, free internet access, nice terrace with a small but pleasant swimming pool. The two rooms I stayed in had no windows, but fan and air conditioned worked very well. Although I... more

Our bedrooms have double doors which are half panelled in glass with adjustable persian blinds. This allows adequate natural light to enter the room while ensuring privacy to the occupant. Tropical light is very harsh and temperatures are extreme so rooms need to kept shaded and cool. Reference the overbooking we always keep a room off-inventory for emergencies and if...

Our family spent two nights (3 rooms) here recently and enjoyed our stay. If you visit Cartagena, you must stay in the Old City and Casa La Fe is located in the heart of it across from a pleasant park. Security is good with everyone escorted to and from the front entrance which remains locked at all times. I never... more

Our voluntary service charge of 3% is displayed at the time of booking. If you are not happy with this policy or prefer to handle staff tips in a different manner that is your preogative. Geoff at Casa La Fe

My brother, mother, and I stayed at Casa La Fe this past summer and we LOVED the hotel. It was small and perfect for us, who prefer a more "home" feeling than bigger hotels offer. The staff was great, especially when I got sick (probably from the water)! There were no bugs (which I am very fussy about!) so that... more
