I stayed here twice during my solo 10-day trip through Colombia. Marcus was a perfect host, rooms were spotless, it's in the best location. The place is a small B&B with a friendly staff who knows your name and there's a delicious breakfast served every morning in the open-plan kitchen. I sat there for a couple hours every day drinking... More

We just returned from a 5 day family trip in Cartagena staying at Les Lezards B&B, and we will remember our trip forever. Les Lezards was perfect in size, location, comfort, and all the things that we needed during our stay. Located in Getsemani, just 10 minute walking distance from the old colonial town, we enjoyed all the beauty of... More

My husband and I loved our stay at Les Lezards and felt like Marcus, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth. We wanted 3 nights, but because there were only 2 nights available, Marcus made reservations for us at another nearby B&B, and even got us a discount. He had someone meet us at the airport,... More

Do yourself a favor and make an easy choice by staying at Les Lezards. The location and the staff make your visit to Cartagena pretty effortless. We were fortunate to stay in the cool upper room with the outdoor shower that has protected exposure by the mango trees. A very unique spot for sure. The location is quiet for resting... More

This was literally the best accommodation I had in Colombia. From the beginning to the end. I was picked up from the airport, courtesy of the B&B. Then the room was extremely clean (had a whole tower for myself). What I really loved about the whole place was the old Colonial Spanish style and the fact that you were practically... More

A really sweet spot with stellar staff. The perfect intersection of location, loveliness and affordability. A quiet B & B aura just a short walk to the heart of Cartagena. Marries indoor and outdoor space stupendously with a great little rooftop, making for a wonderful homebase while visiting the city. And yummy breakfasts to boot.

We stayed 3 night in this wonderful bnb. The rooms are nice, very clean and with everything you wish for. The breakfast is also good such as its location in the area getsemani where all the hostels, good restaurants and bars are. The city center is just next to this area and you can walk thereceasily. Marcus does his best... More

My stay at Marcus' B&B was excellent. The whole experience at Les Lezards was a splendid retreat, my room a serene haven after a long day exploring Cartagena through the sweltering heat and humidity. The room is meticulously and artfully designed with vacationing couples in mind, I suppose, but I stayed there alone and felt it was worth every penny... More

I had been in touch with Marcus for two years while planning this trip. He was always kind, helpful and friendly with all my questions. He arranges to have you picked up at the airport on arrival which is soooo helpful when you are arriving in a strange city. The hotel itself is like an oasis. There are some tables... More

A simply brilliant B & B in the heart of old town Cartagena with complimentary airport transfer. This is an outstanding property in a very convenient location within the walls; it offers personalized service, expert advise from the owner/operator (Marcus), a caring and helpful local staff, cooked to order breakfast, good wi-fi and access to private (or shared) reasonably priced... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A beautiful and romantic colonial guesthouse in Cartagena de Indias, in the vibrant and traditional Getsemani area, one of the last truly exotic places in the Caribbean, the most dynamic downtown location where new boutique hotels, bars and restaurants sprawl. Positioned in a quiet street, away from traffic and commercial activities, and just a few feet away from the Arsenal and the booming Calle del Guerrero and Media Luna night spots and at walking distance from all the best restaurants and attractions. The house designed by award winning architect blends colonial with mediterranean style and is decorated with items and maps collected during worldwide journeys. All rooms are custom designed. The cotto floors with spanish ceramic accents help you cool down and unwind surrounded by an abundant tropical vegetation with adult mango and palm trees. Guests can relax in the patios and enjoy an open air tile jacuzzi on the terrace and a mirador/solarium with views on the Cathedral, the churches of San Pedro and La Trinidad and the Castillo San Felipe. The house is on a north-south axis and enjoys plenty of natural ventilation ... more   less
