Rating: A+++ Les Lezards B&B a romantic gem in old Cartegena and Marcus is truly a saint - you won’t find a nicer or more accommodating host. A+++ SERVICE: Upon arrival, Marcus arranged for an airport pick-up and personally greeted us to say hello and ensure we were happy with our room and knew EVERYTHING about the city of Cartegena... Me and my wife have been traveling across Ecuador and Colombia, staying in many places but the best memories in terms of accommodations we stayed in were definitely from Les Lizard. Firstly it's location, walking distance to everywhere in Cartagena, however off the "tourist path" but still very central and in a very characterful area of the town. It just... More

If you go to Cartagena, you have to go to this place! You actually get more than what you paid for. The owner takes care of you personally and makes sure you've got everything you need. We were treated like King and Queen. The rooms are beautiful and big and breakfast is very nice and healthy. They have a whirl... More

My experience was completely flawless. This place is what I like to call a hidden gem. It was not only chic, but the service and cleanliness was impeccable. His staff Manuela and Epifania are amazing. I would totally recommend for anyone that wants a real experience, in a magical city. The hotel has total attention to detail, and whoever stays... More

We used les lezards as a base for our stay in Colombia. The rooms were very well appointed and breakfast every morning was delicious. Marcos was very helpful in getting us a rental car and giving advise for say excursions around Cartagena. I'd highly recommend this place!

I was fortunate to stay at Les Lezards for a few days and had a great experience. A comfortable, clean, quiet and lovely space; the B&B style, and Marcus, the owner and his staff, go to all lengths to make you feel at home. I went solo with no itinerary and Marcus helped me pinpoint the best spots to visit... More

Marcus and the staff are really helpful and kind. The hotel is in an old house, very cozy. It is located in Getsemani, which is a popular neighborhood but it is very safe. It is good to stay away from the crowds of the old town, but still in a walkable distance from most of tourist attractions. TIP: The hotel... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A beautiful and romantic colonial guesthouse in Cartagena de Indias, in the vibrant and traditional Getsemani area, one of the last truly exotic places in the Caribbean, the most dynamic downtown location where new boutique hotels, bars and restaurants sprawl. Positioned in a quiet street, away from traffic and commercial activities, and just a few feet away from the Arsenal and the booming Calle del Guerrero and Media Luna night spots and at walking distance from all the best restaurants and attractions. The house designed by award winning architect blends colonial with mediterranean style and is decorated with items and maps collected during worldwide journeys. All rooms are custom designed. The cotto floors with spanish ceramic accents help you cool down and unwind surrounded by an abundant tropical vegetation with adult mango and palm trees. Guests can relax in the patios and enjoy an open air tile jacuzzi on the terrace and a mirador/solarium with views on the Cathedral, the churches of San Pedro and La Trinidad and the Castillo San Felipe. The house is on a north-south axis and enjoys plenty of natural ventilation ... more   less
