My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The location is very convenient-in the heart of the walled city. Our room was good-clean and quiet. The included breakfast was great-cereals, yogurt, cheese, breads, fruit and eggs prepared upon request. The shower was extremely noisy, the safe and hair dryer did not work. Considering decent hotels in Cartagena are very... More

I recently returned from Colombia, having traveled with Gate 1 on one of their Discovery Tours. The tour was fantastic. There were 16 travelers in the group and our guide was Juan David Camacho. Juan was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable about his country and was so enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with the group. All of the hotels were... More

Stayed here during the wkd while traveling for business throughout Colombia, and i am glad i did. Beautiful town, safe going out at night, and the hotel strategically located: clean, updated rooms, friendly and efficient service (David and Katrine), yummy and generous breakfast, paid COP 243000 per night. Overall GREAT VALUE and would stay here again. Enjoy:)

Located in the heart of "ciudad amurallada", this hotel is an AMAZING deal. Excellent location: close to banks, taxis and all the charming of the old city. Very kind staff: the receptionist even called a hair stylist to come to the hotel to make our hairs for a wedding party at an affordable price! Very good breakfast (mix of international... More

This is one of the most reasonably priced good hotels in the old town of Cartagena. It is a truly boutique hotel with friendly staff, fantastic pool and relaxation areas on the roof with superb view of the city, and nice rooms. Everything worked very well during my two days stay, which I really enjoyed. I have stayed in two... More

I stayed 2 nights with my friend after having spent 2 other very enjoyable nights at hotel Las Carretas, which is a little unpretentious gem. We had to change room once as the shower let the water our in the bathroom. In the new room the remote control for the air conditioning was not working and did the entire stay... More

We stayed at the Urban Royal from June 21st through June 28th. We choose this hotel for it's location and the relative reasonable price. The location sure did not disappoint. You are right in the heart of all, the whole walled city can be easily walked from here. Within two minutes walk you are at one of the busiest taxi... More

Good location, good service. Nice view from the pool and some rooms. Although it has double glazed windows, external noise gets into the rooms. If you have light sleep, may bother you. The Breakfast must replenish food more often. Good option

I spent one night at the Urban Royal. I'm certainly glad I spent my earlier nights at the Tcherassi because this place was a disappointment. The room I was given had no natural light and was small. The bathroom was in shambles. There was a small curtain for the shower but why bother when you pretty much flood the bathroom... More

Superb in town location on a busy but pedestrian square. Great coffee shop with WiFi on the ground floor with excellent breakfast choices for hotel guests. Safe area both day and night. Lots of local places to lunch and lounge. Surprise roof top pool and bar with great views and loads of atmosphere.
