This is a very cute small hotel with great common spaces and a wonderful colonial feel. Breakfasts were also very good. However, we paid $150/night for a "Junior Suite" that was actually a regular sized room with a small dorm refrigerator sitting on the floor. Worse, our room smelled like a dank cave. Even worse, there was an open hole... More

After a long trip, with a big 6 hour jetlag, I entered the room Sofia at 23h30. Wauw, nice big room, but where is the music coming from? From upstairs. At 00h00 it stopped. At 00h30 fireworks outside, At 5h00 the phone rang in hall, and at 6h20 again. This was my first night. The bed was very hard and... More

We arrived in this hotel in the middle of the week, off-season and, so, we ended up being the only guests during our short, 2-night stay. The building is absolutely charming. Between the 2 pools, the roof deck (what a view!) and the living room spaces, there are plenty of options to relax. Our breakfasts were in a delightful room... More

We really enjoyed our stay here; the hotel is absolutely beautiful. In fact, it didn't feel like a hotel, but a big gorgeous house. I guess it must have been a house in a past life; there are just 9 hotel rooms. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 'suite' which is really 2 bedrooms connected by a hallway. We stayed... More

This was a super place to stay. Every detail of the premises has been very carefully considered, from the art on the wall, which looked like someone's private art collection, to the little cloth napkins underneath the toast at breakfast. It is a beautiful, quiet, spacious, relaxing place with sensational views from the roof and what was probably the best... More

Overall, the hotel is very good. Modern, clean, well located, AC in room, cable TV, pretty big rooms (at least Sofia), good breakfast included (juice, fruit, omelette, coffee, bread ,...). The only problem we had was the sleep quality. Sofia is located just below the kitcken and in front of the stairs to get to it and we were waken... More

From the moment you walk in the large wooden door from the street, we were in awe of the design, the architecture, the tranquility and the staff. We had a small suite but next time we will stay in the room with the private pool. The rooms were very comfortable, so much attention to detail and taking a 500 year... More

We had a very nice experience at Estancia de La Mantilla, but it wasn't quite what we were expecting. We had booked a suite and so were expecting 2 bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room. We got the first two, but no sitting room, just a private connecting hallway. Instead there were super nice common areas - library, 2 pools, roof.... More

Lovely small boutique hotel. Great location in the Old Town (which is where you should stay in Cartagena) Had room with private courtyard & small pool so were spoilt. Saw another room which looked quite compact so not sure if they are all as great. But nice decor, 2 (small) communal sun roofs & a small plunge pool. Bit noisy... More

The reviews on trip advisor talked about this hotel being a hidden gem and that was spot on. We loved our stay here. Our room Amelia had its own private courtyard and pool which was bliss! This is a charming, boutique hotel perfectly located to explore the old town. The old town can be a little noisy so bring earplugs... More
