Clean & quiet hostel with comfy beds and air-con - recommended if you don't want a crazy party hostel. Your sheets also get changed every day, which is a nice bonus. Staff are very nice & accommodating and guests are all pretty friendly. Makes a good base for exploring Cartagena. Only criticism is that the Wi-Fi is quite flaky.

i loved staying here. it is a simple but very clean and cosy place. the dorms are fine and the private rooms are big. there is a kitchen, hammocks, computer, tv, sofas and a balcony for everyone to use. i especially loved the vibe here, as the girls at reception and the cleaning lady are lots of fun and super... I stayed here a few nights while in Cartagena. The staff was all really nice and it was very clean which was good. They really only speak Spanish, just FYI. They also have free breakfast in the morning which is a plus and the price per night was about $11. Good amount of space to lounge and bathroom located right... More

I stayed at Hostal Casa Venecia two nights in a 7-bed dorm. Only one other person shared the room. My lower bunk bed was comfortable and the AC which can be run 12 hours every day helped add to the comfort. On the Saturday night I stayed it got a little noisy on the street in front of Casa Venecia... More

I had a great time in Casa Venecia. It was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. It is located in a very nice area with all kinds of restaurants close by. It's a relaxed hostel with a very nice atmosphere. You can hang out in the patio, use the kitchen and the dorms are comfortable with a... More

Really nice staff, great roommates, seems this hostel is popular with Colombians too so you know it's a winner! It's also quite close to the airport! Overall I was very happy and would recommend this hostel to anyone!

We stayed in their new set of rooms in another place down the street. They were brand new with more than needed aircon and very friendly staff. Arturo even drove me to the port in his motorcycle at 6AM when I asked how to get a taxi. At first imression the surrounding doesn't look good, but after the 1st night... More

Stayed here before getting the sail boat across to Panama. First night we arrived they didn't have any of the cheaper rooms so we stayed in one of rooms facing the street with balcony. The room had cable tv, ensuite bathroom (cold shower only), air conditioning (have to ask ladies at reception to control it), fan. It wasn't noise proof... More

what was supposed to be a private room with a bathroom ended up being a room off the kitchen with a shared bathroom. the kitchen smelled like curry the whole time. i'm off curry for a while now. the fan in my room was either on super-high and very noisy or super-low and ineffective. for cartagena, this is brutal. i...
