I had stayed here two years ago and it had been an okay experience, so I decided to save money on my trip this time by staying here again. The sheets had cigarette burns and it was pretty noisy but the staff was friendly, there was free wifi, and no one was stealing stuff from people's rooms, so there wasn't... More

Stayed here for four nights. There has been blaring music from the neighbors majority of the time. One night it was until 5 am. I asked for a different room and they said no. We needed a couple extra pillows they said no. Overall it's been the worst hotel experience of my life, which sucks because I paid a little... More

The room was clean/basic. No hot water but you won't need it definitely. Taking a cold shower is better due to the humidity. 10 minute walk to the walled city. The rooms have a refrigerator. No English speaking staff as old reviews mentioned. But the front desk people went out of their way to help. Cafe Lunatica is closeby for... More

I was backpacking and found this a clean, basic and cheap option. It is about a ten minute walk to the walled city. The rooms are very basic but it did have a refrigerator. I do not speak Spanish so communicating with the staff was a little difficult but they went out of their way to help. They even provided... More

I've been staying in Hotel Pedregal for about a week now. I was influenced to stay here by some of the earlier reviews. Certainly the price was right, however, things seem to have changed some and not necessarily for the better. They used to have a rooftop cafe but that seems to be unused for quite some time. I've read... More

I was here with my gf for one night. We had one delayed bag and the onwer helped us a lot to solve this issue with the airport! Generally, the staff was very friendly. The hotel is right in the center of the old town and you can explore the city from here by foot. The rooms got tv, ac... More

The location was excellent. We walk every day two or three times from the hotel to the Old City. The price ($48 was very good!). The staff is very friendly including the owner. The hotel is also located 1 block from la plaza de la Trinidad which at night is full of young tourist but during the day is full... More

Stayed here over Easter weekend with husband, daughter and her boyfriend. The location, as promised, is excellent, walkable from the main walled city but in a really interesting part of the city itself. Close by great places for breakfast etc. Simple but clean accommodation, all that is required if you're making the most of Cartagena. The bonus is a fridge... More

The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood, you can walk to the walled city and the main fort. Rooms are simple but clean. I really liked the atmosphere in the area, the main square close to hotel gets very lively at night.

El Pedregal is a great, clean, well-located place to stay for adventurers who plan on spending a lot of time out and about. A clean room with air conditioning and a nice atrium, but aside from taking an afternoon siesta, not exactly a hangout. It's in Getsemani on a quieter corner than the rest of the neighborhood. The best part... More
