Hotel is very nice. It is located 10 minutes away from Old City, safe walk. There was no hot water as people wrote in previous reviews, but it s so hot in Cartagena that it didn't matter to me.) There is no AC - just a fan, so it is hot. There was no window really in my room, window... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights over a weekend. Simple spacious rooms with a good ceiling fan, dated but serviceable washroom, some good storage space with dressers, shelving, coat rack, and good free wifi. Room was clean. Shower had no hot water, but given the weather in Cartagena, I didn't miss it. Beds were on the firm side. Breakfast... More

We stayed one night after we booked Casa Mara, just opposite, and they were full. We negotiated the price down from 175,000 to 150,000. Pros -Friendly staff. Some could speak basic English. -Nice rooms, very good AC... actually too cold and no blankets on the bed! -Clean and good location. Felt safe with good choice of restaurants and bars about.... To begin, the staff here was great. They looked after my luggage when I went on a backpacking trip for a few days. As a recent graduate, this place was a nice step up from some of the more budget accommodations that I used in Colombia. I had a simple, but nice room that had a balcony overlooking the courtyard.... the hotel looks nice. Room was very basic but clean. The room had air conditioned and fan, it had no window with outside view. The room was a bit smelly. The bathroom was very simple and small. There was NO HOT WATER in the shower! Only cold water tap. Breakfast was served in another hotel nearby. It was very dirty... More

Great location and really lovely staff, on calle media Luna. Big, clean rooms with AC, which wasn't so necessary as there's a very effective ceiling fan. Nice to have a dresser plus a multi hooked coat rack. Hooks, they work, hoteliers! They're handy, cheap and take no space. More hooks, please! Villa colonial has a large lobby, including a communal... More

I got a room here as El Viajero private rooms were full, I was actually pleasantly surprised as the price was much better and room much larger plus it had a private bathroom. Though it lacked breakfast, you could walk a few doors down and find a few places that serve breakfast……

Nice hotel, friendly staff and pretty silent (!) airco. In-room wifi and beautiful communal areas. The beds could have been softer. The street is full of hostels and restaurants, and although there are some weird people around, I felt really safe here. For Colombian understandings a modern and well maintained room. Ask for a room with windows at the courtyard... More

This is my second stay at this hotel (10 nights). It was decent. It was convenient to walk to the Old City. It was overpriced. Neighborhood was not so-so and spotty. Breakfast was not included. Air Conditioner was not working properly. The primary problem was the noise at night because there was a bar, two doors down the road, that... More

I stayed here for 9 nights recently. I was a bit concerned as a single female staying here due to some comments on immediate surrounds. Indeed it is not perfect but there were always enough people around to feel safe at night. Busy area during the daytime. My room was at the front and there was building work ongoing in... More
