For those who want to save a penny and stay a 10-minute walk from the old town's Reloj Gate, Getsemani offers many hotels and this one was just fine. IT had a pleasant rustic feel, and a patio with fountain in the middle. Owner is Italian. My room had color TV, A/C, lock-box and icebox. It was clean, A/C worked... More

Moved from a hotel with dysfunctional A/C to this one, thought it would be isolated. Turns out it's a block away from one of the most interesting squares in Cartagena. Would recommend to any traveler below the top luxury level. Staff helped with every aspect of planning a great trip.

Firstly, do not book this hotel because it has a pool! It is tiny and whilst we were there it was far too dirty to use. Whilst the communal areas of the hotel seemed pleasant we were given a room that opened directly on to the breakfast room so it was very noisy with lots of people having breakfast literally... More

Friendly, comfortable and quiet, a short walk to the Centro Historico, and located in a real neighborhood where working and middle class people live and go about their business, much of which spills out into the street. An interesting and pretty neighborhood that feels completely friendly and safe at all hours of the day. We stayed at Hotel de las... More

I have been in Colombia for six weeks and I liked this hotel so much I stayed here the whole time! The food is delicious, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the social areas are fun and welcoming. The location is fantastic and anything your looking to do is close. The staff is by far the best part about... More

I stayed here for 6 weeks while studying. It has been one of the most memorable and enjoyable stays in a hotel iv had. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I never had a problem with anything. I would certainly return here if I ever come back to cartagena.

After booking a room a week in advance, I arrived to check in and was then told that there were no rooms available due to a wedding. Why they took a booking in the first place I do not know. After several minutes of discussion between staff, I received my money back with absolutely no apology for the inconvenience. Typical... More

Just stayed here for four nights and couldn't speak more highly of it. It's well presented for a relatively budget place, very spacious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts consisted of fresh fruit and fruit juices, eggs and great coffee, we are in Colombia after all. The wifi is great and I was able to gloat... More

We did not realise the hotel had no outside windows, the arrival was from a taxi we had pre booked that demanded extra money, a vagrant tried to steal out bags and the place was generally poor quality

Wonderfully hospitable management and staff, couldn't do enough for us, and in a perfectly safe area of town. We were a little wary of the area before visiting as some guidebooks and literature do no recommend staying outside the walled city. Getsemani is going to be the new hotel area of Cartagena - it's central, quaint, and much renovation is... More
