Located in Getsemani, Hotel Casa de las Palmas is an easy 10 minute walk to the main attractions of the old city. Quiet, comfortable A/C rooms are situated around a large courtyard. Staff are helpful and personable. A couple resident turtles and loveable Chiqui, the smallest chihuahua I've known, will keep you on your toes. The area is safe. Nearby... More

There are heaps and heaps of places to stay in wonderful Cartagena. Cartagena itself is a place where you could spend one day and be blown away or live forever! This hotel is nice. Simple rooms in a colonnial style building, friendly staff, nice breakfast, great location that's quiet but near to the old centre. I can't rave about this... More

I spent 3 nights in Cartagena and chose to sleep in Getsemani. The hotel was a 10 minute walk to the Historic Center or 15 minutes to the main bus stop where most of the buses congregate. There were also a number of restaurants and bars right around the corner from the hotel. I had no issues walking solo back... More

My wife and I stayed here for 11 nights. It was a very beautiful hotel with a pretty courtyard and common area. There is a small dipping pool which was perfect for cooling off after a long walk in Cartagena's unforgiving heat. The owner of the hotel was polite and helpful, as were the rest of the front desk staff.... More

We booked in advance per the reviews on trip advisor and stayed for 5 nights. We arrived after 11 p.m., pulled up to the quiet street, rang the doorbell and someone let us in, registered us and showed us to our room. Rooms are not huge, but not a problem for us. Very quiet at night, Breakfast was fine -... More

I just stayed 3 nights in this lovely Colonial House in the Fantastic Cartagena. You can't ask for more and the value for money. Location, staff, very clean rooms (you have AC and ceiling fan enough to keep you cool and your own badroom), style and very quite, as well their own Rest. in promisses, breakfast was good. The manager... More

This review is not easy to write as the service and staff at the hotel were so attentive and kind. However, if you are looking for accommodations that provide comfort this is not the place for you. Our bed was harder than a futon mattress and there was no hot water. The lighting looked like it was fluorescent, and only... More

Great location near the walled city. Was everything we expected. Quiet and relaxed, excellent service. Dona Martha helped us booking a tour to the Rosario Islands and gave us tips to visit other places. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi and TV and a safe box. Staff very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was small but we were more interested in going... More

I stayed here for 5 nights. The second day I arrived, the manager(?) told me I had to move rooms because I was only booked for 4 nights. I brought her my voucher which indicated I was reserved a full 5 nights, and was told that I was to move because I had too many beds. Fine, although inconvenient I... More

For those who want to save a penny and stay a 10-minute walk from the old town's Reloj Gate, Getsemani offers many hotels and this one was just fine. IT had a pleasant rustic feel, and a patio with fountain in the middle. Owner is Italian. My room had color TV, A/C, lock-box and icebox. It was clean, A/C worked... More
