The hotel it's pretty, although my room was very little. For the price you were expecting something else. There was no hairdryer in the room or shower caps. One morning I find a mouse in my room. It was little, and of course you have to deal with this kind of things in an old house in Cartagena, but still... More

We’re leaving Casa Lola over the moon. It is a gem of a hotel and made our trip to Cartagena. The rooms and common spaces are beautiful and comfortable. You could spend your entire trip on the roof deck and it wouldn’t be a waste (although Cartagena offers so much to do and see). The staff are equally important; the... More

The Casa Lola is a beautiful colonial hotel in Getsamani, within easy walking distances of everywhere you would want to visit in Cartagena. Our room on the ground floor was beautifully decorated, with high ceilings and an outside shower. Despite being on a street that has quite a vibrant nightlife, you cannot hear it inside the rooms. So quiet and... More

Incredibly funky and charming boutique hotel with a great location in Getsemani. Every room is decorated with different artwork and the overall vibe of this place is very hip. Beautiful and spacious, leafy common area where breakfast is served. They have very helpful staff who know the local area, and can help arrange transportation or other needs. Two adjoined rooftop... Clothing as metaphor: Think of the traditional four or five star hotel as the smart dress you'd want to wear to a cocktail party where you want to make a good impression. Think of Hotel Casa Lola as the well-worn jeans you'd want to change into after a long tough week at the office. The former makes you look great;... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day trip to Cartagena Beautiful walled city in Columbia dating back to 1545 .Unbelievable restaurants and sites .The locals were so friendly but very limited in english .We felt safe at any point during day and night..Our hotel Casa Lola is located just outside city gates but very quiet and allowed us to enjoy local... This was one of the highlights of our trips- especially as we had slummed it a bit prior to this- lots of hammocks. Our room was small but the bathroom was cool with a shower that had an element of being in the outside. The inside of the Hotel was beautifully decorated with lots of water features, which again mixes... More

Hotel Casa Lola is to die for. It's located in the Getsemani area of Cartagena, a short five-minute walk to the old "walled city" (the super touristy part of the city). I found the Getsemani to be far more interesting and cool than the walled city, where the majority of tourists stay - there's beautiful street art everywhere, cool old... More

Hotel Casa Lola is situated in the old city and is within easy walking distance of many of the highlights. The best aspect of the hotel is the staff: Julian is exceptional - very friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating; Favio, Diego and Sergio also made our stay very positive. The courtyard with its plants and water feature was an oasis... More

From the moment you step behind the painted wooden door, you feel the serenity and peacefulness of Casa Lola. The reception staff are fantastic - English-speaking and extremely knowledgeable about the local area. Ask for tips on restaurants, sites, walks, and if you want to visit the Rosario islands, they can arrange it so you don't go with the crowds.... More
