When you want to have a paradise experience, go here. It's a small island with this 'hotel'. Great houses to stay, 7 steps from the turquoise sea to swim. Relaxing time absolutely. In the night you're just with 10-15 people maximum on dinner. The sunset in the morning is a beautiful experience. Great time but do not longer stay then... More

2.5 stars, really. We had a good time on our day trip out to one of the Rosario Islands, and would go to the islands again on another trip to Cartagena – the warm, clear blue waters and remote location are amazing. But I recommend avoiding this particular tour company. We chose this tour because it advertised kayaks, but when... More

Warned off from playa Blanca due to the harassing vendors we chose this island at the recommendation of our hotel. We had a very relaxing after noon in its rocky shores (dont expect big beaches) and loved our fish and coconut rice lunch. A calm escape from Cartagena. Warning though our boat tried to leave us at a different port... More

So a buddy and I went here for the day, I read a lot of reviews in regards to these islands prior to coming and in typical fashion didn't settle on anything. So my friend ended up booking a day tour out there, they picked us up promptly and we were headed off to the port. Once we got there... More

If you are looking for a Caribbean Beach, you must go outside Cartagena and Isla del Pirata nail it! Crystal clear waters and sun, perfect combination. It's a private island so more expensive than playa blanca but it worth it. Not even 30 tourists there and just 2 sellers. Lunch was pretty good. The only bad thing: no shower with... More

I have been traveling to this "magical" vacation spot since I was a child. I've chosen to return with my family on a very frequent basis because of its previous status of exclusivity and red carpet treatment. However, on Monday 11/24/14 I found myself in a scary predicament. I was harassed by local street vendors, and even threatened by them... More

Me and my wife took a day trip here on a Monday. We were some of the only tourists on this small island (out of 4). The hotel staff was rude with us from the beginning and not very friendly. The 'bartender' had major attitude issues and almost standoff-ish when asked questions about the island and overcharged us for drinks,... More

We booked this the morning of because another island resort cancelled our reservation.. it was stressful but they were so okay with it and made it super easy! They picked us up at our hotel in the old city and took us to the port. Our entire boat except for 3 people were dropped off at the island and we... More

All arrangements were made through CATDMC Isla Del Pirata in the Rosario Islands. This turned out to be a travel challenge. They didn't arrange for transportation and after we had pour hotel call they told us what time they would pick us up. They did pick us up in a can and charged us 28,000 pesos.. $15.00 U.S. for a... We stayed in the Hotel for 2 nights in February 2014. The people working on the Island are very nice. We had a house directly at the see. It was just incredible to hear the see at night. The water and other little islands are easy to reach. The Kanu rental is incl. and its perfect to go around the... More
