YGWYP (you get what you pay). We stayed at this hotel on our way back from Islas del Rosario because we need a place to crash for a few hours before our 6am flight. This is a cheap, centrally located hotel with basic services. I would recommend it for anyone that is just looking for a decent place to spend... More

I spent a week here in late April. This is a small mid-level inn in the old town, set around a small courtyard, with very different types of rooms (I had probably the smallest and cheapest, with one window opening onto the interior hall and courtyard, but saw much bigger ones with balconies overlooking the road). There are things I... More

It's an outstanding place, where you will be warmly welcomed and where you will feel so well. The rooms are spacious. We had a very big bed of very good quality. The bathroom had a good shower (not always the case in Colombia). We felt extremely comfortable here. The whole hotel is gorgeous, with a wonderful patio and a pull... More

I stayed at this hotel 3 nights during January and found it to be quite great. I've had a late night check in due to my flight arriving later than scheduled, and the night porter was courteous and helpful (we spoke in Spanish so not sure if he speaks English). The receptionists I met throughout my stay were also very... More

Location is fantastic, the hotel is beautiful and a great value, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Simon makes wonderful breakfasts and will take good care of you, and Cindy was fantastic in helping us navigate the city and making sure we got good prices on taxis and such. We loved our stay!

We stayed here on our first time here to Cartagena and fell in love with the boutique hotel (3 yrs ago) Love the style of the decoration which made us feel like we were staying in someone's home rather than in a hotel. We returned again this year and the friendly staff actually remembered us. The only negative I would... More

When we were booking our stay in Cartagena we were having a hard time finding a place within our budget, had good reviews and was inside the walled city. I'm so glad we found Casa de India because it was perfect! The staff were so wonderful - friendly, professional, helpful and spoke more English than we spoke Spanish (which we... More

The hotel staff at Casa India are wonderful: Cindy and Donovan at reception are professional, courteous, helpful, speak excellent English and are delightful. The morning waiter Simeon is dedicated and efficient, and breakfast is good. Location is excellent. Unfortunately the hotel is a construction site: there is a scaffolding on the third floor, a lot of dust, and no safety... More

Hotel receptionists are all very good, welcoming and gave us a free map of Cartagena. We had asked for a quiet room, but were given room 301 overlooking the main street, so were kept awake at night by people shouting and car horns blaring. The room is big with a huge bed, but the horrible shiny polyester sheets, which date... More
