My wife and I were married here just a few days ago. The hotel is a gem and although some rooms are in need of modernization, some rooms are quite nice. The building itself is the perfect backdrop for a wedding. The catering was exquisite. Chef Efren is top notch and prepared awsome ceviche along with beef tenderloin. smoked salmon... More

Back in the 70's this was the it hotel! Fast forward to 2000. Looked like it was in mourning! My husband and i went there for a belated honey moon. Only to find there werent any guests that we could see at all! Our room was clean and everything in order but oh, it needed something new to bring it... More

The pool here is amazing. The service is very good. I just wish the rooms were renovated and then the hotel would be amazing. I was skeptic of the air conditioning but it worked well and kept the room cold (which is important in Barranquilla). Over all, I think it is a good option if you can get it at... More

I love the pool area and the structures around, it is a classic, very rare in a good way (big rooms, tall roofs, unique arquitecture). But the ugly part is that it looks forgotten, the pool needs to be clean, the rooms need to be updated and the peronal service must be better. This hotel is lovelly, but as his... More

Stayed for 3 nights over carnaval. The hotel itself is a fantastic building, and the pool area is lovely. Totally let down by the poorest service I've had in recent memory. Even when the waiting staff deigned to come over, it took 20 minutes or more for them to bring drinks. Repeated every day. Breakfast well below average; stale croissants,... More

Take a step back in time when you stay at the Hotel El Prado. This is the sort of hotel that people would make a travel destination. Built in the 1930's, the hotel still maintains the same "bones" of an early 20th century hotel - with wide hallways, open air promenades, and traditional landscaping. The hotel is conveniently located near... More

Before I make fun of this hotel, I want to start by saying that there is nothing that would really create a uper unpleasant stay, no matter what I say about it, it is a beautiful old building and the people pretty much try to keep you happy. Half my criticism's I would hate to see actually improved because if... More

This is a beautiful republican building, the most traditional hotel in Barranquilla. Rooms are old and big, furniture is old too. But this is not necessarily a bad thing, I don´t mean it in a despective way. Beautiful swimming pool and gardens, delicious breakfast, great attention, nice restaurant and not very expensive. Location: in the heart of the business sector... More

I will be honest with my review despite how much I would like the hotel to be rated amazing because I love it since I was a kid. This is a hotel that was built in 1930 and has been an Icon for Barranquilla since then. It has hosted the most important moments of Barranquilla and its people. It is... More
