We recently stayed at the Wanhao Grand hotel. For the money, it was not as nice as a previous stay at the Chinese Overseas Hotel. Carpets and furniture were worn and dirty. While we expect the beds in China to be firm, the ones here were akin to sleeping on wooden slats. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, and the food in both the downstairs and upstairs restaurants was good.
