We arrived the evening before the official opening of the hotel. i had read a review which said the hotel was not up to Shangri-la standards but took a chance and discovered the probable reason for the negative review. We stayed 6 nights in October 2009. This is grand and beautiful hotel. The lobby and bar area is impressive. We were there during their pre-opening.
