This is a decent hotel right at the city square where people meet in the morning for tai chi, dance and badminton. During the day, the kite runners were out. Well, they did not run, but they were flying kites. Our room was spacious and clean. The carpet could have been better with less spots, but we were provided with... More

This hotel was recently renovated. The reception staff speaks minimal English. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. We had problems trying to set the air conditioning, and asked the housekeeper who replied to our pantomimes, "Open Window." It seems the hotel's heating system was still on, set at 28C. We followed her advice, and the room cooled off well after... More

This hotel was the last of my trip through Western China and it was a comfortable bed but the A/C wasn't on because it wasn't "summer" yet. You will encounter this phenomenon throughout China. Luckily the window opened and it wasn't too too hot but A/C would have been nice. The breakfast was fair and they even had bacon and... More

The room was spacious and well kept. Heater was working, keeping us warm without needing the blanket for a good night rest. The staff even served complimentary warm milk to us upon our return from shopping! Breakfast was good, with a good mix of western, muslim and chinese fare. Too bad they did not have scrambled egg.

Stayed there in november for 4 nights futing a business trip. Hotel and services are eccellent. Very good food. Only internet connection sometime has some problems. Rooms are ok, clean and well equipped. Spa centre is ok too, even if not so new. Staff is friendly and efficient. Anyway a good choice, for business or tourist passengers.

This is a very nice hotel in a good location. Our room was very spacious, the bed was very firm and with very clean sheets. The bath room is very clean, with adequate toiletries for our needs and two bathing areas. The front entrance is being renovated and we have to use a side entrance but it wasn't a hassle... More

The previous reviewer said it very well. Renovations being done to 1st and 2nd floor, creating a unfavorable first impression. If you can get past having to go through the business center to a temporary front desk/cashier/checkout, everything else is acceptable. The hotel has poor circulation in the public areas with a constant 2nd hand smoke odor. The air conditioning... More

We stayed 2 nights on holiday (family of 2 adults & 3 children) at Hoi Tak. They don't have a concept of "connecting rooms", but we got adjacent ones. Renovation has closed the first and second floors - so there isn't a proper reception, the western restaurant is closed and you'll have to haul your bags up a few steps... More

I stayed two nights at the Hoi Tak Hotel. Rooms are a little old and probably not up to the hype of the hotel's advertising, but they are comfortable. Beds are hard but not so that you can't sleep. Bathrooms are dated and a makeover is due. However the service is good and the breakfast varied and interesting. The food... More

Overall we had a nice stay. The room was spacious, clean, good service. I was surprised to read in the other reviews that they had no AC. There was one AC/heater in the room that worked perfectly well. Only the sanitaries are a bit dated but work well. The toilet flush is not very powerful and sometimes you might get... More
