YES! Sims Cozy Hello Chendgu International Youth Hostel; (028)83355322/(0)13330965557; email contact through Tripadvisor, HI-USA, or just google it. I was escorting my 84-year old mother overseas 07JUN-29JUL2014, and we had the extreme pleasure of overnighting here. This exquisite, well-run establishment (with Western-style toilets!) was extremely easy to get to from the North train station AFTER I spoke with Georgia (excellent... More

The facilities are very good, the garden is cozy, they give a very useful maps to move on your own in buses, it's a great place to recover strength. Not particularly cheap but is full. Restaurant is ok.

Great family bed, we had room for four and plenty to spare. Efficient place, they know what the traveling backpacker needs, although it us a bit soulless.the Travel agency can sort you out with tickets if you're short of time. Food was pretty ordinary. Location good.

When I began planning the overseas odyssey for my handicapped 84-year old mother, I always look first to HI as I am a life member. Then I check first-hand information on Tripadvisor. Following an wonderful train trip from Shenzhen, made rotten only during the last 2 hours by a highly unethical & disrespectful conductor, we finally made contact with this... More

This is a nice place for someone who doesn't speak a lot of Chinese. The rooms are nice for the money. Most of the staff speak English and can help you get around Chengdu. They can also arrange tours in Chengdu or other parts of China. The bar/restaurant is a great place to hang out but the prices are higher... More

We stayed here 2 nights. It was good value for money, not the best hostel I've ever been but the staff is friendly and they speak English. We arrived very early after a night train and could check in immediately without additional costs which was very good. The food is ok but expensive compared to other restaurants in the city.... We stayed in Chengdu for 1 day and a half - my biggest regret is that we didn't get to spend more time at this hostel! :) It's amazing how somehing so green and welcoming can await you in the middle of the urban jungle. The minute you pass the gate, you feel you're in another world. The staff is... More

Good cozy rooms, a bit dirty but OK. Friendly & super helpful staff with good English. Helped us with every request about how to plan & book in advance the rest if our journey. Wrote for us everything in Chinese for us to get an easy life while traveling.

We stayed in a twin bedroom which was comfortable. We enjoyed their homy atmosphere in a really big (too big) city. Good food, nice bar, great ping pong table, amazing service (help to make other hostels bookings, train tickets, ...) and they let us enjoy their facilities a few days later for a few hours even if we hadn't book...
