our room was 1622. the floor is filthy, even the walls look dirty. all the furniture appeared very old so the hotel truly needs a big renovation to keep up with it's 5star rating. the room itself was freezing cold--the heating didn't work so despite us turning up the knob to 30 degree celsius, cold air was still fanning out.... more

Hotel is now (April 2009) somewhat old, everything looks old. Coffeeshop food was OK, but not too many western dishes. Service was friendly and nice. Fee for pick up at airport is outrages - nearly RMB 400, compared to just RMB 60 for a taxi But I for sure would stay there again. more

First class hotel, the official rating is five stars but I give it 4+ because tear and wear showed up in the room and corridor. The air conditioning (cooling) had been switched off for the winter, which meant that the room was too warm. The mini bar was warm and filled with soft drinks--not a beer lover's dream. One of several hotels I stayed in during a 2 week business trip around China. This hotel was clean and neat. The room was moderate in size. The lobby was impressive. The service was great. The breakfast was good. Over all not the best hotel of the trip but not the worst by far. more

A nice interior, a great breakfast, a very good location in town but the best of all, an incredibly helpful and knowledgable reception staff and concierge desk. This is a great hotel. It was my second time there and I like the quality of the rooms as well as the location. Being a gold member of the Priority club I was lucky to be offered a free upgrade to a suite. I would have given this review 5 stars if it wasn't for a very annoying glitch.... more
