We booked this hotel through a travel agent and were not sure what to expect. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the city. The rooms are comfortable and well provisioned. The breakfast buffet is extensive. WiFi is free. The staff spoke basic but sufficient English. It was a good base to get around the city. We had... More

Excellent Location in the middle of downtown but also only 20 minutes to the Airport. Friendly staff, great breakfast. The Elevators could have been a Little bit faster but otherwise I can not complain at all. If I would have to go again to Chengdu I would of course use this Hotel again.

This hotel is modern and spacious. We had a room on the 19th floor with great views of the city lights. The room was spacious with a comfortable king size bed. Staff were attentive even though they did not have a good grasp of English. Wifi in the room worked well and the dining was well catered for. Good choice... More

As we make our way to the 29th floor to check in! Rooms are beautiful, clean and tidy, bed is very comfortable. Bath takes awhile to fill up, but worth it once done. The view from our room on the 19th floor is amazing. Little hard to communicate with the staff as not a lot of English spoken, and nothing... More

The best location in the city - continent to go anywhere. The actual hotel is a bit different from the photos which were too much airbrushed. It is new hotel but not paying much on details, like cleanness and facilities maintenance, especially the elevators - quite slow. The room is big enough, the purple theme color is impressive. The amenities... More

Only one night stay, but very pleased with the hotel and its service. Lavishly appointed and staff attentive and excellent standard of English. Bedroom huge and well appointed, wifi good, breakfast had everything you could ever want. Only a very slight criticism would be to keep a number of rooms or floors as non-smoking - western guests are not used... More

The Minyoun is a large hotel chain in China. However they place profits ahead of guest comfort. We arrived in Chengdu and the outside temperature was 83 degrees. Inside of our room it was 82 degrees F (27.6 degrees C). The lobby, restaurant, hallways and elevators were comfortably air-conditioned. But NOT the rooms! Yes there is an air-conditioning control, but... More

Excellent modern hotel - I had a huge room at a very good rate for this standard of hotel. Was a bit awkward to find as it's above the shopping centre, and a bit strange to have the lobby on the top floor. But centrally located once I got my bearings (it's near the Mao statue and just look for... More

The Munyoun Central Hotel is located in the first ring of Chengdu. It is a 35 to 45 minute drive from the airport and it is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, theaters, etc. Unexpectedly, the lobby is on the top or 29th floor of the hotel. There were plenty of bellmen and parking attendants to help with luggage and automobiles and... More

The hotel is clean and fresh. It was a great place to return to after a long day of touring! The lobby is on the top floor of the hotel. Beds were quite comfortable and the Internet worked well. They have a great breakfast buffet in the morning and will get you ready for a full day of site seeing!
