Besides above plus point, room was bit jaded. Wooden flooring had been through lots of wear and tear. Building is dark even the recept too. Toilet is very small and smell of sewage. Had to close toilet door every night before we sleep. Given highest floor. TV full of China channels. Few or poorly received English or overseas channels. Breakfast... More

We stayed at the Chengdu Grand Club Hotel for four days. Rooms are new, well maintained and spacious. We had problem with the air con on our first night, but the maintenance staff quickly fixed it for us. Good job. Breakfast We had breakfast very early, at 7am. But the staff were still preparing and they had some problems with... More

Just located above the subway station @ Wen Shu Station. Walking distance to Wenshu Temple. Spacious room, excellent wifi connection, great customer service. Nothing much to complain except that it may be a bite troublesome that that the hotel lobby is on the 4th floor and you need to switch lift to your room. No shopping or eatery around the... More

Booked this so called hotel on ebookers. The name they provided was different. Half of the building are private appartments. Check in was painful and long as they dont speak any foreign lanugages so you will use their phone to communicate using online translation app. Breakfast was horrible, chineese style. The staff at breakfast didnt know word salt! 3 english... More

First night we arrived there was trouble with the booking due to ebookers.com not transferring details nor payment. Instead of drama the staff gave us tea and biscuits while they tried sorting things out. Failing that they gave us a massive room and said they will try tomorrow. Rosa was particular friendly (spoke English) and catered to our every need.... More

My husband and I spent a lovely week at the Grand Club Hotel. It was our first visit to Chengdu and the location sold us. As others have said, it's directly above the Wenshu Monastery metro stop and an easy 15 min walk to Tianfu Square. Taxis in the city are inexpensive so we could get anywhere for around 3... More

This property is listed as a 5 Star (by Chinese Standards) while it might not be a 5 star in a foreign country it does come close to 4. Rooms are clean, linen is fresh, beds are comfortable. It does have a bit of wear and tear but nothing too bad. Rooms are a good size (50sq.mt) bathrooms are supplied... More

Some other sites have this listed as the 'Grand Boutique Hotel' and it was this that we booked. With the big sign outside stating 'Grand Club', we thought we were in the wrong place! You need to go into the Grand Club reception on ground floor in order to take the glass elevator up to the hotel reception on the... More

It's a good hotel and it would be a great hotel if it was western friendly. Buffet breakfast is clearly not designed with westerners in mind and everything in the room including the remotes and the washing machine are all in Chinese. Plus the staff don't speak English and they won't help us to book anything. Long story short if... More

The hotel is located right outside Wenshu. Monastery metro station on line one. Take exit H and the hotel is right in front of you. We had a deluxe suite, which was very spacious and modern. It was clean, but not spotless. The room claims to accommodate 2 adults and one child (up to 12) but they don't have any... More
