By far the easiest hostel to find in Chengdu, right by the metro. Vivian & Co are very friendly and efficient. Lazy the cat will slow up check-in procedures however by lying on the front desk, only having the energy to roll over onto your passport, then doze off on the res computer keyboard. But if staying here, just chill... More

Lazy bones had a very friendly staff that helped me with all of my travel plans. The rooms were clean and spacious and the cafe had fairly decent food (which had been a real struggle for me with other hostels on my trip). It's also got a great location with the subway line being literally across the street.

Nice style and atmosphere, close to the metro. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I found the dorm room I stayed in and its washroom rather cramped, but otherwise everything was just fine. They have a rack of wifi servers, and wifi service was good when I stayed. Lazybones is in the same group as Mix Hostel and Flipflop... More

I stayed at Chengdu Lazy Bones Hostel for three nights before and after a visit to Leshan and Mt Emei, south of Chengdu. The stand-out feature was the service - usually four (mostly female) staff were at the reception with good English and were able to answer all our questions. There is a good cafe/restaurant and a locked luggage room... More

Dark, wide hallways and stairs. No elevator. The place is old, smelled old. Corners of the room, bathroom, door jamb were dusty. Thin, old towels. I didn't bring my own so I bought one at a supermarket. They provided slippers, rubber ones, not disposable. Drinking water dispenser on the hallway - bring your own container. Hair dryer is installed out... More

Loved lazybones, stones throw from metro. Easy to use the airport bus to and from hostel. Booked our panda trip with them, early start but worth it. The guide we were with got us to the different pandas before the crowds. staff friendly, chinese food excellent and all reasonably priced Wished we allowed more time to explore chengdu and surrounding... My review is probably going to sound like everybody else's: The good parts: central location, clean room, wifi, social area, friendly staff with some English ability, decent room decoration. But... That horrible smell coming from the bathroom is just unbearable. Rancid stench of puke, sewer and mold. They really need to do something about that. Also the social area can... More

I spent my Christmas and new year eve in lazy bone hostel. It was a great experience in Dec 2012. Location are good, information complete. I don't do any research before I go there. But this hostel information can give me everyting I need. Recommended

Overall good hostel. I arrived at 3:30 am because my flight was delayed, and the staff were willing to assist me at that time. When I arrived in my room a young lad to the bunk next to me was engaging in some debauchery with a local girl, but he swiftly stopped when I gave him "the stare." The hostel... More

There were some annoyances with mildew on the wall, Y1 for only 10-minute use of a public computer (very slow) and a little bit noisy hairdryer, but after staying there for 3 days I would say it's one of my best hosteling experiences in China. Probably not a place for super-picky customers, though. Staff spoke excellent and fluent English and... More
