A rather cosy and comfortable stay in December 2013. Staff at the hostel speak some English so it shouldn't be too difficult in communicating basics. Otherwise, mandarin would definitely be preferred when communicating with the staff. They are mostly young and friendly, also knowledgeable about the area with some tips on getting to places. This hostel is well-located for those... More

Clean comfortable rooms with individual bathrooms for each dorm room so they're much cleaner and more accessible. Really nice decor and the best part is the common area which is laid out to enable privacy or socialising as you wish. Lots of activities are available for free; wi-fi, pool table, ping pong, films, cards, chess, mahjiang etc. Staff are really... More

Very cozy. Staff very friendly and can speak BASIC English. Fairly prices. Convenient. It is basically a backpacker place But very comfortable. I do suggest to whom is looking for a place to spend a night qhen all other options are run out. But also if you are with friends and want to sleep together it is a good choice.... More

Another top quality hostel in China. I'm always amazed at the warmth friendliness and good service in Chinese youth hostels and this was no exception. There's always someone to attend to you and they have a lovely little cafe to get western and chinese food and a beer from.

Location is good. Just opposite the entrance to the subway. The lounge is a bit warm and worn out. The rooms are ok. The people was less friendly and helpful than I expected from all the reviews I've read and also from other experiences of other hostels. But had fun shopping in nearby shops.

Firstly, I have to declare that I'm not a young backpacker, or a young anything really. But I do travel a lot and stay in all levels of accommodation. I chose Lazybones because of its location for a weeks stay in Chengdu and it is indeed a good location for the subway. The main communal room is comfortable and a... More

Stayed four nights last week. Staff (Linda and Tina) went out of their way to accommodate me in the hostel, even though they were fully booked, calling up people to confirm their bookings, even offered 2 free beer coupons, instead of the usual one (i dont drink alcohol, so gave both back). room was quite clean and nice, shifted to... As far a hostels go, this is by far one of the better ones - it has many things going for it, esp its location. If you are arriving by the metro it is just outside the metro station, very helpful especially if you don't speak any Chinese! Close to the train ticket booking counter, restaurants and a short walk... More

Lazy bones is a nice guesthouse in a good location near the metro station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the restaurant is ok. The prices are a little bit to high for what you get in my opinion.

Stayed a total of 6 nights in Lazybones. Hostel in good location as the Metro station “Luomasi” is across the road from the hostel. Tianfu Square [where the famous Mao statute is and just directly across the Square is the famous Kang Shef’s Beef Noodle Restaurant] is one stop away from Luomasi station. Wenshu Monastery complex is also 1 station... More
