I absolutely ADORE the Loft. I have never stayed in the dorms, but the rooms are amazing. They are slightly overpriced, but if you've been thrifty and budgeting, I'd say it's worth it to stay here a night or two to recharge. The beds are amazing. In China, most beds are very hard, and I personally never got used to... More

The place is nice, in a quiet street of chengdu. Dorms (4-6 beds) are very cleaned, with AC (in Chengdu it can be very hot); toilette are cleaned every hour. Staff is english speaking and really helpfull. When I had to go back in Chengdu on my way back home, I had no doubt about where to go: The Loft!... More

I stayed at The Loft for one night recently and had a great stay. The hostel is very unique...I have never stayed in a place quite like it before. It is located on a quiet side street in Chengdu. The hostel had very friendly staff who were very helpful in answering questions about the area. I had 2 meals at... More

Very trendy and interesting hostel with retro fittings and a very good courtyard space. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and so forth. Bathrooms awkwardly away from downstairs rooms requiring a quick semi-naked dash through the communal chill out area. No signs reminding loud Chinese to keep quiet/out of areas near the bedrooms at night. Thought coffee was very... More

My wife and I stayed at The Loft for a total of 5 nights (split into two chunks) in one of their very reasonably priced double rooms. We had a brilliant experience. The hostel was very clean and simply furnished. The reception staff, all in their 20s, were very helpful and spoke very good English/put up with our appaling Chinese... More

The Loft hostel has everything you could wish for, the hostel is in a great location, it is so clean and well maintained, with good facilities and a homely atmosphere. We stayed at the loft on 3 occasions during our 2 week trip in China, the staff are exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to assist us and... More

This place is rather a mid-range hotel than a hostel. We loved it there - our room was large, lucid and clean, the bed comfy, the atmosphere great. It is conveniently located in a street with loads of cute little restaurants and coffee shops. If you are tired of sightseeing and want to relax in a laid back, creative atmosphere,... More

I stayed at The Loft Hostel for two weeks in October, 2013 and I loved it! I had never been to a hostel before so I booked a single room with a king size bed and a private bathroom. The staff at The Loft are its biggest asset. They're all in their 20s and are friendly, helpful, efficient, generous, hard... More

Nice trendy hostel, the dorm rooms were a good size and very clean, they provided lockers within the dorm room. The location is great just a street away from the busy tourist Kuanzhai alley street. The staff were very helpful with tour advice and advice on what to do in the city. Nice little cafe downstairs that serves a good... More

stayed in he loft designed hostel which is YHA (my first in a good few years) that was a printing house in the 80s. This place has not quite decided what it wants to be. It has the coolest cafe (with excellent breakfast but the worst salad - essentially a pile of lettuce leaves served with 1000 island dressing -... More
