Loved our stay here! Felt like part of a little community. Friendly helpful English speaking staff. English menu in their restaurant, it has great food too! Location was perfect for us, close to subway and tourist attractions. Staff help you organise other tours. (Those tour guides didn't speak much English). Wenjun Mansion Hotel is a courtyard with rooms on 4 floors, most overlooking the courtyard. Comfortable room but no storage space. Softer beds than normal Chinese beds, which were very comfortable. The balcony outside is overlooking courtyard with tables and chairs. Food is good value and large portions, so don't over-order. One dish can easily feed 2 people. Breakfast not... More

The hotel is located in a very nice area, with constructions following the traditional Chinese style. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the bathroom seems quite new. Everything is very clean and nice. There is a TV, A/C, kettle, a set of tea cups and they provide water and some soft drinks at a very low price. There is also... More

Wonderful staff! They are extremely helpful with booking my panda tour and my ticket to the Sichuan opera. The opera house theater is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There is a park nearby too which I took a nice jog in. It's a 5 minute walk to the subway as well. If you want to meet people, then... More

Located in historic restored old town, Chinese style, ask for rooms that are decorated ancient Chinese. Deluxe room or in the corridor as a balcony, somehow something different like a luxury hotel. Staff speaks a little English which is important in Chengdu. There are organized day trips offered as well as onward journey. Recommended Look

Beautiful typical Chinese 'pagoda' style hotel on a road of similar buildings - gorgeous! We loved the balconies with individual tables & chairs outside each room. Really comfortable beds & plenty of hot water - although we did need to run it for a while before it became hot. Bathrooms were well lit, modern & fully tiled with separate shower... More

Charming hotel; excellent location in the heart of the city, close to parks and temples. Staff at the reception speaks English and is very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean; you will find a small table and chairs right outside your door to enjoy the open air if you wish (but you already know that the open air in... More

Although seeming to be more a backpacker location we enjoyed this place very much, as the rooms are spacious and very clean and the staff absolutely friendly and very helpful. Closely located to People's Park and old quarter in a relatively quiet street.

We stayed two nights at this hotel last October at the beginning of our monthlong trip through Southwest China. The hotel looks very charming and is located in a fine and quiet neighboorhood in Chengdu. Close to two parks. The rooms are clean, basic and standard. We prefer a more soft matrass on the bed. The matrasses in this hotel... More
