This hotel has a really great location and the rooms themselves are adequate for most travelers. It's located only two metro stops away from the city center and there are two nice parks right next to the area. Taxi's are plentiful and the location really makes up for some of the shortcomings. Concerning these shortcomings, I get the feeling that... More

There are 2 teams at reception - one is extremely helpful, the boy speaks a little english and the girl perfectly uses her phone with translator, the second team doesn't care anything, just says 'no'. Location is good - between 2 parks, but far away from most european restaurants. Rooms with air con are good, clean, with bath accessorizes. The... More

After 6 weeks in China we were here to visit the Pandas. The hotel is located on a street to recreate a traditional Chinese neighbor hood. You enter the hotel through a garden and the doors to the reception were wide open and attractive. We had no problem registering (we did have reservations) as the clerk did speak some limited... As stated in other reviews this hotel is trying very hard to get good reviews. Initial room was not good, but they changed with no fuss. Room clean and tidy, but fixtures and fitting across the hotel are tired. Restaurant ok, dinner more than adequate. Breakfast Chinese so my v western kids struggled, and lack of even green tea was... We spent 3 weeks in China staying in a wide range of hotels, mostly 4 and 5 stars. The (Starway) Flower Hotel was our least expensive. You can not compare it to the higher end hotels, but we believe it was a great value for the price. It was clean, and comfortable, with good size rooms, and the staff was... More

We stopped at this hotel for 2 nights in order to visit the pandas. The hotel is in a lovely street. The staff were friendly, though did not speak much English. The rooms were clean and ours fairly big, Queen room. Food was good. Across the road from the hotel is the park which is tranquil and lovely. I would... More

The Flower hotel is everything you can expect for the price you pay. I was traveling with my daughter and did not expect a bathroom with glass walls and no door. There was a roller curtain on the wall to the room so that gave some privacy. Rooms were clean and spacious. The electric outlets were a real problem as... More

The bathrooms have transparent walls and no door, just a curtain, so it is quite a culture shock. Some of the windows are next to the main pathway of the hotel, so again there is a lack of privacy. The hotel overall is quite pretty The hotel is situated in a nice area next to Baihuatan Park, and it is... More

The street this hotel is on is beautifully recreated to look like the ancient Chinese architecture and as a design student i was really impressed with it. The hotel it's self is on the far end and without a guide may be easily missed. There is no elevator!! We had to drag our bags up stairs, thank god we were... More

Like the other reviews had mentioned. It's a fun hotel. Unique design with open common elements make you feel more like you're in Hawaii or the Philippines than in China. Attractive entrance with garden and outdoor area that serves as their lobby. Hallways are also open to the elements. I'm not sure how this place holds up in the winter... More
