If you are Indian & travelling for business purpose that Beihai Hotel is best. Good rates, on the main road of Qingdao, near Indian restaurant. Rooms are clean enough & very simple but good ambiance. They need English speaking staff for overseas traveler. Big problem is they don't have refrigerator in the room.

I stayed at the Beihai hotel Qingdao for a business trip. The hotel has a traditional oriental flavor, which I found charming and nice. The hotel was renovated, but the corridors and public areas still smell old. The rooms were also renovated - they retain the traditional Chinese decor. SO this is certainly not a "standard" Holiday-inn/Westin or other western... More

We stayed there for a couple days in June. Hotel is OK. But we really fooled by the travel agent inside the hotel reception floor (China XXX travel agency). We paid the travel agency to take us to Lao Shan. They took us to an amusement/exercise Lao Shan location and we never saw the real stuff. They took us to... More

The hotel is not bad, bad has some basic disadvantages. -The beds are very hard, almost like sleeping on the floor. -Very hard to communicate in english (unacceptable for a 4* hotel) - Dust in cupboards. -Awkward room design. - Construction works going on all around the hotel (June'13). - Average quality of breakfast-bad or cold coffee, poor quality juice,... Stayed here first week of June on a business trip. The hotel location is ok. There is a restaurant and a minimart about 3 min walk. Shangrila Hotel is about 5 min walk. Carrefour is about 15 min walk and food street (with lots of local bbq and eateries) is about 25 min walk. Train station is about 20min taxi... More

The air condition in the room was horrible and the bed as hard as rock. Rooms was clean. That was the only plus point.

next to the Shangri la, this is a sorta 4 star local hotel. Check-in was average, 99% never make you feel welcome. I got a suite, with a seperate living room room, 2 flat screen tvs etc, and thankfully a standing shower in the room. It looks too flimsy though. Didn't try the breakfast as I rushed off for a...
