We had a bad stay at the hotel. The rooms were outdated and extremely sparse. The general decor was also faded and not nice. The service was appalling. The desk offers a train booking service. Despite repeatedly checking with them that they would book the train, they didn't. That left us stuck in Qingdao. When I asked the receptionist about... More

We are group of 6 people visited Qingdao for family reunion, and we booked 2 triple rooms for 4 nights. Room size is ok, not much space after 3 single beds. Bathroom is clean, but they did not come to clean our room one day. Bathroom is very basic set up with very limited hot water, and we need to... More

Very lost glory. In fact, no glory at all! Not organized with their bookings, unfriendly staff... Don't trust the pictures u see, u won't get anything near that... It's not even the building as in the pics... U will be lucky if you get half a window! We were here in winter and was so cold I hardly slept. Bathroom... More

Good hotel, great location (half block from the coast), great value. It's 10 minutes taxi ride from the train station (Y8). the train from Beijing is great, 5 and a half hours (Y275). The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good. The entrance has a nice quiet and peaceful garden. The shower don't have curtain, so everything get wet, but... More

I have stayed in this hotel during the Qingdao Beer Festival with several friends, all between 28 and 35. The advantage: The hotel is located close to the old city centre of Qingdao and many places in the old centre are within walking distance. We expected higher hotel costs due to the beer festival however I did not expect such... More

Near the seafront and shortish walk to pier. Also within walking distance of underground shopping centre which involved going uphill and passing quaint buildings of a european nature. The museum which is part of the Hotel is a must to visit for understanding the German and Japanese occupation over the years. Our room was on the first floor of the main building... More

The best part about this hotel is that the staff were very warm, friendly and helpful including a very plump cat who was practically a crowd-puller as many of the hotel guests was seen playing with it. The room and bath area is also very spacious. Though the furnishings were very simple, I couldn't ask for more as everything I... More

This is a tourist trap. Yes, old style with history - and with quite location, but not worth it when it comes to standard and service. We stayed for 9 days. Every day problem with Internet. Language problem also at the reception. Terrible Chinese breakfast! Charged extra when making a local call from reception. International calls? Forget it! Overcharged! This... More
