The hotel is located reasonably centrally. The location near the Labour park is attractive for those who might fancy a walk or jog. There are many western style eateries close by. For me the best part was that English is widely understood and the staff is very responsive and helpful. Taxi rides for sightseeing can be organized by the concierge.... More

Family of four adults and two young grandchildren 7 nights. Booking in was a bit of trial as we had booked two non smoking rooms adjacent to each other but only one adjacent non smoking room was available. however the 'smoking' room had been given a 'deep clean' and proved to be OK with no lingering smell. However beware, as... More

I stayed in Dalian again for 3 days on Business and was at the Kempinski in 2014 and again in 2015. This is a lovely hotel and central to a great shopping Hub. Great Executive Lounge with amazing service. If you want the best shopping from Designer labels to underground markets this is the place to stay...all in walking distance.... More

Stayed there a couple nights. Room was small and oddly shaped, service was unremarkable, and I didn't try the restaurant in the hotel. Location was very good, and that's why I chose it. But maybe i didn't get a premium enough room to make it great.

Dinning, rooms, food all good (loved the German bar under the hotel, it was a real treat!) but what I had been looking forward to was the spa. The private massage and treatment rooms are good and it was such a relief to get away from the grit of the city. The massage was amazing and relaxing. However, if you... More

I had a room on the 31st floor, overlooking the Labour park (odd numbered room). In general, the room had everything I needed, but it was just too hot. I stayed in January, and it had snowed two days earlier and the hotel was well heated! I was not able to adjust the heat of the air-conditioner and turned the... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night during a biz trip in January. Room was large, as well as bathroom which contained spacious shower and separate bathtub. All nice clean, bed comfortable. Variety of food for breakfast buffet - traditional Chinese, Japanese, western style. I enjoyed evening's performance of piano lady player and singer in the lobby bar. Only... More

I stayed here in December which is during the winter season. The room is really warm because the room temperature is controlled by a centralized system where you cannot adjust the temperature to your liking and all the room are same temperature. The window could not be opened too ( I heard from the reception during check out that there... More

Had a two night stay for a business trip. I'd consider coming back, but there's some room for improvement. Pros: - Large rooms, comfortable beds - Good breakfast buffet/options - Excellent spa and pool facilities - Paulaner Brauhaus on basement level a great place for dinner, beer and music - Close to shopping and restaurants Cons: - Hotel feels older... i've been in Kempinski hotel during the summer time for a weekend in Dalian to enjoy the seaside. Located in a central area, very close to a big shopping mall, where you can have western food and starbucks. the hotel is just average nothing special for what you pay, considering also that in summer time the room was terribly cold...
