Stayed there a couple nights. Room was small and oddly shaped, service was unremarkable, and I didn't try the restaurant in the hotel. Location was very good, and that's why I chose it. But maybe i didn't get a premium enough room to make it great.

Dinning, rooms, food all good (loved the German bar under the hotel, it was a real treat!) but what I had been looking forward to was the spa. The private massage and treatment rooms are good and it was such a relief to get away from the grit of the city. The massage was amazing and relaxing. However, if you... More

I had a room on the 31st floor, overlooking the Labour park (odd numbered room). In general, the room had everything I needed, but it was just too hot. I stayed in January, and it had snowed two days earlier and the hotel was well heated! I was not able to adjust the heat of the air-conditioner and turned the... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night during a biz trip in January. Room was large, as well as bathroom which contained spacious shower and separate bathtub. All nice clean, bed comfortable. Variety of food for breakfast buffet - traditional Chinese, Japanese, western style. I enjoyed evening's performance of piano lady player and singer in the lobby bar. Only... More

I stayed here in December which is during the winter season. The room is really warm because the room temperature is controlled by a centralized system where you cannot adjust the temperature to your liking and all the room are same temperature. The window could not be opened too ( I heard from the reception during check out that there... More

Had a two night stay for a business trip. I'd consider coming back, but there's some room for improvement. Pros: - Large rooms, comfortable beds - Good breakfast buffet/options - Excellent spa and pool facilities - Paulaner Brauhaus on basement level a great place for dinner, beer and music - Close to shopping and restaurants Cons: - Hotel feels older... i've been in Kempinski hotel during the summer time for a weekend in Dalian to enjoy the seaside. Located in a central area, very close to a big shopping mall, where you can have western food and starbucks. the hotel is just average nothing special for what you pay, considering also that in summer time the room was terribly cold... Very spacious rooms, good service. The breakfast is spectacular and caters to both Chinese and western tastes. The bar downstairs has a good beer selection and a cigar room. The staff can get you a taxi to the airport.

I always look forward to stay with Kempinski whenever I'm in Dalian. Even if a competitor was offering a better rate, I always choose to return because of the following. 1. There is a very nice fragrance at the entrance. Staff are always professional and provides good service. Check-in and out are done pretty fast. They understood what is customer... More

First time in Dalian staying for two nights on business. I was booked into this hotel by my host ( I think he likes the German bar downstairs for drinks at the end of the day). The hotel itself was pleasant with a nice large bedroom and bathroom. I didn't eat at any of the restaurants but I did try... More
