Is it the family owner that is tired or the hotel or both? This is a property that features on top of the building what was really fashionable in the 80's: a revolving restaurant, and it is not a revolting one. The best time I had in the hotel was in the restaurant, thanks to its staff. With their advise,... More

Although this is an old hotel, but all the amenities are there. There is also a street full of seafood restaurant and fruit stall just opposite this hotel. There are also shopping centre and underground shopping all within 2-3 mins walk from this hotel. The staff of the hotel speaks good English and of international standard.

Hotel is well located in the city centre, close to shops, restaurants, and buses that will go anywhere in the city. The hotel itself looks dated on the outside, but is fine on the inside. The staff don't all speak English but are happy to listen to your broken Chinese or find the English speaking staff member. I stayed on... More

The hotel is conveniently located and service is good. Best to book online which is much cheaper. Buffet breakfast is excellent. No wifi in rooms.

In my experience it doesn't matter where you go if you expect Western standards then you have to pay Western rates. This Hotel is perfectly adequate in most respects, it is well located, well equiped and has friendly and helpful staff. However, it does fall short of what would be expected in Europe or USA for a four star Hotel.... More

"Used" would be a compassionate word to describe the hotel. They need to tear out the carpet in all the hallways, clean, sanitize and then put down new carpet. We stayed on their "Executive floor" touting "suites". They replaced the double connecting doors between two rooms with a single 'bedroom door', modified the bathroom in one of the two spaces,... I was pointed towards this hotel by my Chinese wife. Had to find a place for my mom who was visiting and my aunt. Really clean, helpful at the desk (especially Frank)..nice glass elevators for viewing the city as you go to your room...price was negotiable but we paid under 400 rmb per night...it has a deposit with it...accepts visa,...
